A Vampire's Lament – (Chapter: 5-Death at the Chapel)
A Vampire’s Lament
Chapter 5: Death at the Chapel
"You stand in front of a million doors and each one holds a million more
corridors that lead to the world of the invisible." -Kate Bush
I haven’t been sleeping well in the last few days since the night I was introduced to Spencer’s family. I’ve been feeling humiliated but worse than that I felt consumed by hatred and fear. I don’t know why these emotions keep swimming through my veins because when I think it’s Spencer who feels this way, it’s not.
I lay in my bed with the covers beneath my feet and I twist and turn all day long before I shut my eyes for a few seconds of torture. My mind plays these grotesque films behind my eyelids and I want them to stop.
Instead of seeing Spencer in my nightmares, I see two dark haired women roaming unfamiliar streets and they’re looking for something. They’re looking for someone and I think that someone is Spencer.
The reason I suspect this is because the younger female with the same rich blue eyes as Spencer keeps asking the older woman if it’s true the mortal girl resembles Gabrielle. Her tone is always content and hopeful when she speaks, but when she’s afraid or angered, she sounds like she’s full of malice and it’s horrifying.
I think Evana, the infamous vampire mistress in the legend, is the woman who accompanies the younger girl known as Arial. I’m positive of it because why else would they be obsessed with the Spencer/Gabrielle parallel?
What confuses me most is why aren’t they looking for me as well? If they know who created the bond with Spencer, the mortal, then why exclude me from their hunt?
I’ve got a bad feeling about this so I’m obligated to protect Spencer from these diseased creatures.
"Ashley, may I come in?" I hear a soft voice whisper in the distance. I shift on the bed onto my back and adjust my vision towards the body containing the soothing voice. It was my guardian, or mom as I now loved to call her, and she stood in front of my doorway carrying a tray of two wine glasses of blood and a plate filled with ding-dongs.

You have made my day.. I hope Spencer will take it well from what Ashley is telling her. Post soon please!!!
Awesome update i love you :P PMSLater Dayz
Wow, now I’m intrigued about what Evana is talking. Good Job
sort of sounds like those two vampires are good maybe not but sounds like it and that’ll be cool if they are and they need spence and ash to help stop the evil doers…lol pms
It really doesn’t seem like Evana and Arial want to kill either of them because if they did, they could have easily done it. Maybe the way Ashley heard the story was wrong because it really seems like they were trying to help. Hopefully Spencer listens to Ashley. Great update, can’t wait for the next one, I really love this story.
