COME AROUND

One thing I know I’m doing when I go to college…signing up for late classes because I hate getting up at six thirty to go to school…but anyways, I was by my locker getting out my books when my ex came up by me

“hey ash…” she said

“oh…hey Lauren…what’s up?” I asked her

“not a lot…getting ready to bomb this math test…” she told me

“psh I know what you mean…” I told her “…so uh…how have you been?”

“good…kind of busy, but good” she said “what about you? I saw your game the other day…you looked good…like playing and stuff…” she said awkwardly

“yeah thanks…I’ve been good…but what have you been up to?”

“uh not a lot…hey are you going to CJ’s party tonight?” she asked me

“uh…I was planning on it, but Aiden’s not going and he was my ride…so…yeah”

“well…I could take you…if you want, I mean we never talk anymore which kind of sucks…”

“yeah…uh, sure that’d be cool…” I told her

“…so I’ll pick you up around eight?” she asked me

“yeah…that sounds good…” I replied

“ok…I’ll call you later then…”

“yeah…thanks for the ride” I said as she was walking away

“no problem…” she said smiling and I smiled back then I turned around and started walking to Chemistry and when I got into the room Aiden was there today so I was sitting by him, but Spencer’s partner wasn’t there

“you can sit by her if you want…” Aiden told me

“nah…” I told him

“why not?” he asked me “don’t you like her?”

“yeah but I don’t want to like be around her every second…”

“you’re just sitting with her in Chem class…” he said confused “…go sit by her, seriously…” he said getting up and going to sit by Jeremy then I went up and sat by Spencer

“hey you…” I said

“hey…” she said smiling

“so…how was the rest of your night?”

“uneventful…” she told me “…so you going to CJ’s tonight?” she asked

“uh yeah…” I told her “…are you?”

“yeah I’m going with a few friends…”

“so…I should see you there?” I asked

“hopefully…” she said then our teacher came in and class started.

Later that night Lauren came knocking on my front door and I went out the garage as she still stood on my front step “hey…we going?” I asked her laughing
