Minutes are ticking away and this canyon between us is growing with each moment that passes.
Minutes turn to hours and hours to days and before I catch up with reality, two weeks fly by. Danielle shows her displeasure in my reluctance to talk to Spencer every chance she gets. This forces me to spend less time in my room and more time in the library. The semester is winding down and I am here putting final touches on three research projects and a power point presentation.
“Are you still using that book?” I look up from the article I am reading to see who is speaking. I immediately recognize her.
“Uh, no. You can have it.” She doesn’t break eye contact with me as she slides the top book from the collection I have accumulated on the table. Her eyes are a deep shade of ocean blue and I feel myself drowning in them.
“Thanks. I’m Sara by the way.” She extends her hand to me and I accept it, still not breaking eye contact. Her blonde hair is tucked neatly behind her ear on one side and short layers escape from the other as she looks down at me. “You are?” Only when she says this do I realize she expected my name when she gave me hers.
“Ashley.”
“I’ve seen you around.” I continue to hold her hand shaking absently and completely entranced by her eyes. “It was you outside of Lucas Hall a couple weeks ago, right?” I finally drag my hand from her grasp and look down in embarrassment, because I know she had caught me staring that night.
“Oh, yeah….I…” I am at a complete loss for words as I begin sputtering things out. “I…forgot…..Dan…..my note….book.” A wide smile spreads across her face and she watches me struggle with words as I am sure my face is now a rather unattractive shade of crimson. She reaches for my wrist and holds it gently. I momentarily stop babbling and look up to her eyes again.
“It’s okay.” She leans in closer and drops her voice to a whisper. “I was staring too.” It is my turn to grin and I look away again shaking my head.

i never did like the soulmate hypothesis that spashley embodies. well as far as this forum of fanfic goes lol.
That’s right, Ashley. Call Spencer and reconcile, then ditch that Sara girl. Great story, and yes you should keep going!
I really love this story, let me just start by saying that. Now, onto my review. I love Sara. Granted, I know nothing about her except for the fact that she and Ashley have equally matched bladders (2 Caps, 4 Coffees? Wow.) but I like the girl anyway. Hmm…calling Spencer now? Um…..I don’t know how to feel about that. We’ll see. Awesome work.
Ok, you HAVE to continue ’cause I LOVE this fic…BUT you also have to get them together soooon! I’m not liking this ‘spencer and ashley being happy with spencer and ashley look a likes thing…’ It’s saaad for meee. :( Get them together pleaaase? ;)
This is great and I LOVE it!! This Sara girl sounds like a real sweetheart, really genuine too, you know. Now of course I will ALWAYS still want Ashley and Spencer together in the end but…a little Ashely-Sara action wouldn’t hurt anyone! Hey a little jealousy might even do Spencer some good!! Do you thang girl and post soon!!
I dont like Sara because she is not Spencer and I dont like Jesse because she is not Ashley. 2ndly it took damn well long enough to call Spencer. I swear, man……..post more soon.
Ashley’s so cute. Truthfully I wasn’t a fan of Dani, but I think she’s starting to grow on me. Keep going:), you’re fic is excellent.
“When she is sufficiently satisfied that she has chosen the perfect combination of innocence laced with pure slut, we call it a night”. Omg, hahahahaha. Okay, so I suck fot this, but I like Sara. And I’m glad Ashley’s not depressed. Yay!
you should so keep going. What’s great about this story is it takes place in the past. So there’s not alot of ” what would the Spencer from the show say ” or how would Ashley responed to this” because there older now. Everyone know’s you change as you get older. Keep posting cause I love reading.

So I have two conflicting points of view.. the first is that Spence seems happy with Jess, Sara and Ash seem okay, so maybe they should be happy in coupledom.. I mean Jess and Sara seem really nice… thus my second thought.. Jess and Sara can hook up (so no broken hearts for our lovely gay girls) leaving Spence and Ash for each other.. *L* Where ever this story is taking us, I’m prepared to go with it. Thanks for writing so well.

LOL sweet chapter….sara and ash are kinda cute together…gosh, i never thought ashley would be the nervous kind, but it’s ok cuz it adds some… charm ? into all that…XD anyways, it wouldn’t hurt for ash to be happy again, but i still think that spencer and ashley are the real deal…i so can’t wait to find out what she’s gonna say to spencer…hmmm, maybe she might be able to get her jealous and then she’ll realize her true feelings for ash and stop denying it…..ok,ok, i’m gonna stop guessing right now or whatever….just post soon. please ? =)
