Spencer’s POV

It’s been a few months since Ashley and I had our first time together. It was amazing, but I was so nervous. My 16th birthday was a few days ago and Ashley’s 18th birthday was last month. She said she’s going to teach me how to drive. We went to Grey’s and danced until we were about to fall asleep right there in the club. On my birthday Ashley got herself a gig and was able to play two songs for me. She sang Calling You by Blue October and You and Me by Lifehouse, our song. Now Christmas is in a few days and I’m going back to Ohio for 2 weeks, the best part is that my mom said that I could bring Ashley and Kyla, then I felt bad for Kyla, so I asked my mom if Tegan could come and she said yeah. So we’re all piling in the back of my dad’s incredibly old VW mini bus, that he used to drive "back in the day". It’s pretty sweet. Ashley and I totally decorated the back for the 32 hour drive. That’s right, 32 hours, we’re stopping one night to stay in a hotel, so my dad can rest. I’m so excited that I get to introduce Ashley to my family. I just know that they’re going to love her, I mean, it’s Ashley, how can you not love her?! Seriously!

"Oh my GOD! Spencer! I’m going to Ohio with you! This is gonna be so much fun. First, we’ll make snow angels for two hours, then we’ll go ice skating and maybe we’ll hold hands, and then we’ll eat a whole roll of tollhouse cookie dough, and then to finish, we’ll snuggle." She said, quoting my favorite line from Elf, while jumping on my bed as I was packing my stuff.

"You’re such a NERD!" I shouted at her as I picked her up and threw her over my shoulder.

"SPENCER! SPENCER! Put me down!" She playfully shouted while lightly hitting my back. I carried her out of my room and I went towards the steps.

"SPENCER MARIE CARLIN! PUT ME DOWN AND STEP AWAY FROM THOSE STEPS!" She was starting to get heavy, so I went back in my room and plopped her down on my bed. She stared into my eyes and I stared into hers and after a while we just cracked up.

"I have all my stuff packed for Ohio." she said as I sat down on the bed.

"Okay, what all did you pack?" I asked her.

"Well, jeans, t-shirts, long sleeved shirts, hoodies, you know, stuff that I wear here." She said seriously, and I just started laughing.

"What’s so funny?" She asked, having no clue what’s wrong with the stuff she packed, I have to tell her before we leave.

"Ashley, where are you from?"I asked her.

"Los Angeles?" SHe said, confused.

"OKay, how cold does it get here in the winter?"

"Probably the lowest it gets is in maybe the 40s, 50s? Why?" SHe asked

"Well, because I’m from Ohio, and the coldest it ever got while I lived there was NEGATIVE 15 degrees, and your bringing the same type of clothes you wear here?" I asked trying not to laugh.

"Oh, I see your point." SHe said, turning every shade of red.

"Aww, you’re cute when you get embarassed." I joked while I gave her a sloppy smooch on the cheek.

"Ew! Spencer." SHe laughed while wiping her cheek.
