Learning To Breathe – (Chapter: Chapter 23)
Spencer’s POV
I still stood in front of the stage right in the middle of the dance floor, between drunken people dancing. People were bumping into me, and I didn’t even think about moving. Just a few minutes ago, the girl I have fallen for just sang her heart out to me, and I can’t even go chase after her without feeling guilty. I felt someone’s presence behind me, and I didn’t bother to turn around.
A hand was placed on my shoulder, and I turned my head to the side. It was Lindsey. "Spence," she said. I turned around to be met with watery eyes and a broken hearted girl.
"Linds–," I said before she cut me off.
"Please, don’t Spence," she said looking down and lacing her hands with mines. Her eyes shifted up and I stared into her hazel eyes. "Spence, when I proposed I did it because I love you with all my heart. I thought by proposing, it would make both of our dreams come true." She let go of my right hand and cupped my cheek. "I would do anything to make you smile," she said as a small smile grew across her face. "Spence, I love you and will always be there for you. I don’t want to hold you back on your happiness."
"What are you saying Lindsey."
"I want you to go backstage and go get her. From that song alone, I could tell she would travel oceans to be with you. If being with her is what makes you happy, then I want you to be with her," she said as she grasped my hands tighter. My heart started racing, and I couldn’t hold back a smile.
I brought her into a loving embrace and hugged her like there was no tomorrow. "I’m sorry Lindsey," I said into her shoulder as a tear rolled down my cheek and on to her shoulder.
"Don’t be," she said in a whisper.
We pulled away from each other and I wiped a tear away. "I love you Lindsey. You’re my first love and will always remain in my heart."
"I love you too Spencer," she said. "Tell Ashley if she breaks your heart, she better start running," she said with a small laugh. I leaned in and gave her one last hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Go get your girl," she said as she pulled away and gave me a slight push towards the stage.

Love It! What a sweet ending, sad to see it go though. Truthfully, I’ve loved everything you have posted thus far so, I will read whatever it is that you choose to write next! :)
EPILOGUE!!!!! oh and a high school story wuld be awesome!
it’s sad this story came to an end. I’m gonna miss it. great story & good choice of song again. Anyway, don’t worry I love your ending. About the short chapter, yes! write it please. your next story? hmm…that’s kinda hard to choose. A high school story might be fun. A depressing one, you’re very good at it. the story must be so emotional. I’m sure I’d love it as long as it won’t be too depressing. let’s just say I’ve had enough drama in my life…hehe actually I love your last story L,F&L a lot. It’s sad but they’re together in the end :D the mystery, it must be interesting plus you’ve never written a mystery one, right? So, I think I’m gonna go for a mystery. Just my opinion.ok, whatever you’ll write I’m willing to read it anyway :D sorry if my comment is quite long :p And again, excellent job!!
i don’t want it to end,i didn’t think they were going to be together.i always love a happy ending.this story is the best loved the song and the ending.i enjoyed reading it alot.it is a great story.whatever you write i will read, but one after the trip would be nice.but i will read what ever you write.again great job with the whole story.
wow talk about getting in right in the nick of time spence! ok so I’m sad it’s over, I really loved the entire story. delicia had me cracking up each time she showed up, and this chap was no exception. an epilogue would be great, totally your call. as for what you write next, you are good at the depressing stuff and I love reading it. high school stories are always fun to read though. mystery would be interesting.. so it’s a tough call. but whatever it is, you can be sure I’ll read it because this was great as was L,F,& L. so yea, I’ll be reading! great job!
