    Looking For Love

Chapter 3-You Are All That I Have

Strain this chaos turn it into light
I’ve got to see you one last night
Before the lions take their share
Leave us in pieces, scattered everywhere

Just give me a chance to hold on
Give me a chance to hold on
Give me a chance to hold on
Just give me something to hold onto

It’s so clear now that you are all that I have
I have no fear cos you are all that I have
It’s so clear now that you are all that I have
I have no fear cos you are all that I have

“No Aiden. I can’t go out tonight,” Ashley said over the phone, walking into the dark house. She thought to herself as she went through turning on random light: Figures. No ones ever home. She shrugged it off and sighed into the receiver of the phone, “I know it’s a Saturday night but I don’t want to be in some noisy party when Spencer calls.” She was quiet as she listened to Aiden rant. “I am not putting my life on hold,” more ranting, “Fuck you Aiden. Don’t ever talk about Spencer like that. She is not leading me on. She is my best friend and if I choose to stay home and wait for her phone call, that’s my prerogative.” The voice on the other end quieted somewhat. Ashley lowered her voice as well, “Whatever Aiden. Stop apologizing. I’ll call you tomorrow and you can tell me everything I missed, alright?” there was a mumbled response then Ashley ends the call.

She looked into the refrigerator hoping there would be something to eat. Disappointed, she bounded up the steps to her room. She groaned as she looked at the mess. “Might as well clean up while I’m waiting,” she said to herself. So she changed her clothes and began cleaning the junk that had accumulated in the months since she last cleaned.

Brand New’s Jude Law & a Semester Abroad was blasting from the stereo when Ashley felt the familiar vibration of her phone on her hip. She lifted her head from under the bed, hair sticking up every which way. She rushed to turn the radio down. “Ashley Davies’ phone,” she answered in her best receptionist voice. She melted at the sound of Spencer’s voice, “Hey Ash. What you up to?”
