Ashley’s Story

"SCHOOLS OUT BITCHES!!" 

     I really didn’t think he’d do it! I’m impressed. Those were the last words I heard coming from the intercom before the bell rang and everyone jumped out of their seats in excitment.

     Hundreds of students filled the halls screaming with joy, and were running around like wild animals. It was our first day to a three month vacation. And all the chaos streaming in the air, was like music to my ears. This is what school does to us. I pulled out my big sunglasses from my bag and put them on while walking to the parking lot.

     "Ashley! …Hey Ashley!" I looked over to see Aiden running towards me. "I did it dude!" He said in excitment I stopped walking so he could catch up with me and I smiled at him.

     "And it was soo awesome." I told him and we both let out a little laugh. He took a deep breath in threw his nose and let it out.

     "Aw man, you smell that?" He asked looking at me. I pretended to sniff the air by him.

     "Ew yeah! God Aiden! Shower once in a while, jesus!" I joked waving my hand in front of my nose.

     "Not what I meant smart ass. It smells like, freedom baby! Owww!" He shouted. I laughed and looked up to the sky. Closing my eyes I stood there as the bright California sun shined down on my face.

     "So, are you going to Marty’s party tonight?" He asked me and I brought my attention back to him.

     "Yeah, I’m going." I told him. Of course I was going, me, Ashley Davies wouldn’t miss a party for the world, and especially one of my best friends parties.

     "Good! Oh and please, do us all a favor, and don’t bring Jamie." He pleaded, I giggled.

     "We broke up three days ago." I told him.

     "Oh! Well good cause that girl was a bit-" I swatted him in the chest before he could finish.

     "Cool it Strap, she wasn’t that bad." I said and he rolled his eyes.

     "Yeah, i’m sure in some cases she wasn’t like in…ehem bed *cough* …what?" He said trying to cover up.

     "Yeah, nice one." I said and he laughed.

     "Well anyways, Marky was telling me that his cousin is going to be staying with him for the summer… something about so she can see what it’s like down here, and get use to it, maybe make some friends, ya know all that stuff." He told me. I didn’t know Marky had a cousin.

     "Oh really… Well where’s she from?" I asked, strangley actually caring, because usually I wouldn’t give a damn.

     "Ahh.. is someone interested already?" He asked nudging me, I just rolled my eyes at him. "He said she’s from Ohio."

     "What’s her name?" I asked him.

     "I don’t know, he didn’t tell me." He said.

     "Oh." Was all I could say.

     "Yeahh…Hey, where..Where’s Kyla?" He asked looking around.

     "Um, your asking me when she’s your girlfriend?" I said.

     "She’s your sister." He shot back making a point.

     "Maybe she’s with Madison." I told him.

     "Yikes… Well I better get going, I’ll see you at the party though right?" He asked while backing away.

     "You can count on it." I told him.

     "Alright, later Ash!" He called out.

     "Bye Aiden!" I yelled back.

     I got in my car and left the parking lot, heading down the street. I don’t know why, but I have a feeling this is going to be one unforgetable summer.
