    Chapter 6

     

     

    I got called out of class because of Kali acting up at her school. When I finally got that situation dealt with and was on my way back to lunch I had a run in with the girl from class this morning.

     

    “Ashley?”

     

    “Kayla?”

     

    “Umm… do you really like Spencer?”

     

    “What’s it to you?”

     

    “Well I like her and if you really don’t, I was just wondering if you could like leave her alone because she is a great girl.” So what this girl thought that I did not deserve great girls?

     

    “Well I like her, so no worries to you.” She looked down then looked back up with a sad look in her eyes.

     

    “Oh umm… ok then I guess that is it then. I will not bother you again.” She walked off, but I called her back. “Yea Ashley?”

     

    “Do you really like her Kayla?”

     

    “Umm…yeah I really do. It’s not that I know her or anything, but I feel that we could have a lot in common. We both love music and we love to write. I just think that we would be great together. But, I guess I’m too late because you two already found something in each other. So…..”

     

    “Can I tell you something Kayla?”

     

    “Yea… I guess.” We walked over and sat at one of the tables to talk.

     

    “Well Spencer and I are not dating. I just said that this morning because I really like her and didn’t want you to have a shot before I did. I don’t know if she likes me or not, but I hope she does. It’s like I never had anyone in my life that really likes me for me and I want that someone to be Spencer. I just can’t bring myself to tell her, but I see that you can. I don’t really know if I deserve her if I can’t even tell her all this.” I really didn’t know why I was talking to Kayla because she could use all this, but for some odd reason I felt she would not.

     

    “Wow Ashley Davies. I did not know you could feel like this. Like truly I have known you since 3rd grade and you have never said anything like that. To be honest I didn’t even know you could feel. I thought you were like this monster. But, if Spencer can make you feel all this then you are the one that deserve her and she would be lucky to have you.” Kayla smiled at me and I smiled back before getting up and hugging her.
