Rude Comments and Silent Tears. – (Chapter: Hey There You.)
"All right, everyone. Back in the house. We still have to finish telling you kids the news." My dad said, bringing me out of my daze. We walked back in and sat on the couch, they way we were before.
"Ok dad. Spill." I anticipated.
"Well, we feel that your guys deserve to spend the rest of your teenage years in the place you grew up. With all the people you have known since you were in diapers. And…" Glen cut him off.
"Your point is?" I think we both knew what was comming.
"We’re all moving back to Ohio!"
"What?" I breathed out.
"This is not fair!" Glen added.
"I can’t just go back to Ohio now! I can’t leave this all behind!"
"Do you know how long it took me to finally become popular? I worked hard for it! Very ,very, very, very hard!"
"Wow, this sure wasn’t the reaction we were expecting." My mom said.
"We thought you two would be thrilled." My dad explained. "We had no idea this would be so horrible for you."
"I can’t believe this!" I screamed and ran up to my room. I slammed my door shut, jumped on my bed, and started to cry uncontrolably. Why would they do this to me? All my friends are here. Everyone I love is right where I want them. I can’t just leave. Ashley. I have to talk to her. Now. I grabbed my phone and dialed her number.
"Hey there you." I couldn’t help but smile.
"Hi." I replied happily, but she could still tell I had been crying.
"Spencer. What’s wrong?"
"I…. I’m…. I’m moving to Ohio."
"What?"
"Yeah. That was my response."
"But we just…. And now you’re…. So this is it huh?" I could hear the disapointment in her voice.
"No. We can still be…… together."
"Does it really? Because Ohio and L.A are pretty far apart."
"Ash…"
"Ash? Yeah, right, Ash. Umm. What was I going to say?" I giggled at her.
"You were saying that you and I were going to be a happy couple. Even if I am moving to Ohio."
"Oh yeah. I remember now. But it doesn’t include you and me being a happy couple."
"Alright. You caught me. So what were you really going to say?"
"Spencer. How are we going to even hang out when we’re so far apart?"
"I don’t know. I just know I want to be with you."
"Aww, you are too sweet." Suddenly my mom walked in the room and interupted.
"Spencer, who are you talking to?"
"Ummm…. Chelsea."
"Oh, really. I haven’t heard from her in a while. Let me say hello." She said steping closer.
"No!"
"Spencer? No what? Who is Chelsea?" Ashley questioned.
"Hold on a sec." I whispered back.
"Why can’t I talk to her?" My mom asked.
"Because she has to go. Like, right now."
"What?" Poor Ashey was so confused.
"Talk to you some other time ok, Chels?"
"Chels? What are you…" I flipped the phone shut with her still talking.
"See mom. She was really busy."
"Sure she was." My mom said closing the door. "Get to sleep!" She shouted from the hall. And off I drifted into a not-so-peaceful sleep.
