    AU. Ashley is in high school and is falling for an older Spencer.

    Ashley’s POV

    I make room for Spencer on the sofa beside me, even though I can’t really look at her right now.  I’m having one of those moments when you feel like you’re walking in the dark and you know that no matter which you turn, there’s a wolf waiting to eat you up.  No matter which way you go, you’re going to get hurt.  

    I don’t want to get hurt.

    I just want to grab hold of Spencer and never let go.  And I want to forget everything that happened today, and Aiden and whoever this Riley person is, and whatever Spencer is getting ready to say, because it’s going to ruin everything.  I can hear the wolf breathing just two steps away.  He’s ready to eat me whole.

    “Ash,” Spencer starts, and she’s looking at me with those wide blue eyes and I can see how scared she is. She can hear the wolf panting too.  Instinctively, I put a hand on her shoulder to stop her.

    “Look Spence, maybe we should think twice before we go on.  Maybe this isn’t important.  We love each other right?  So much…shouldn’t that be enough.  That’s all we need, right?”  I know that my eyes are filling with tears now, just by the way she’s looking at me.  She’s looking at me like I’m imperceptibly young right now and she just wants to shield me from the entire world…but she can’t.

    “I love you too much not to be honest with you,” she says simply and I just drop my head. She’s right.  I have to hear this.  Every single word.  I have to know the truth.

    I settle back into the cushions of the sofa and fold my arms across my chest.  I feel so cold and alone right now even though Spencer is right beside me.  I don’t want to hear any of this.   Spencer sighs and begins.  Her voice is slow when she speaks and soft like she’s re-living everything, just remembering, like she’s back there with her memories.  I close my eyes and listen, because it’s all that I can do.

    “Spence come on!” Riley yells from the top of the hill.  The brunette is sitting indian style on the hilltop watching the already setting sun.  “You’re gonna miss it!”

    9. I can’t believe Nathan wasn’t arrested for killing his sister, he at least should’ve been committed to a mental institution. I hate that he got away with murder. Otherwise, I love this amazing story…great update. PMS

    17. I just love this story, it’s so amazing. And Nate, he should be rotting in jail somewhere because it was his fault that Riley died, he killed her. I do hate that she died, but if it weren’t for that Spencer and Ashley probably wouldn’t be together. But Nate should still be in jail, or getting tortured. Some form of punishment. Anyway, like I said, Amazing story, PMASAP. POST MORE LIKE RIGHT FRIGGIN NOW!!! lol
