Cal:

"Momma B, please don’t make me do this," I begged.

"I’m sorry honey," Momma B said, "but I’m gonna trust Jodi’s judgment on this. If she says we should listen to Tom, then I think we should."

The door was opened by Angelica and Shay walked in carrying Jenny. "Be careful," Momma T said worriedly, "just set her down on the couch."

"Mom I can walk," Jenny complained.

"We’ll have none of that," Momma B said, "thank you Shay."

"No problem," Shay said grinning.

Mikey walked in with three fluffy pillows and ran past Shay to set them on the couch.

"Oh come on guys, I’m okay!" Jenny said.

"Thank you Mikey," Momma T said.

"Yes, my dad became a physical therapist, he says these pillows will help Jenny’s recovery," Mikey said.

Momma T looked a bit uncomfortable but she said, "tell him I said thanks."

"Will do," Mikey said grinning.

Shay set Jenny down on the couch then said, "Angie ready for the sonogram?"

"Yeah let’s go," Angelica said.

"We’ll see you later," Mikey said.

"Bring back copies for us," Momma B said.

They laughed as they waved goodbye and my dad and Auntie Nikki walked in and sat down on the couch beside me.

"I swear one negative remark from Tom and I’m outta here," dad said angrily.

Auntie Nikki caressed his arm and said, "just hear him out honey."

"Do you need anything before Tom and Jodi get here?" Momma T asked Jenny.

She shook her head as Momma B grabbed my hand and said, "everything will be okay Cal."

The moment the doorbell rung I fidgeted nervously and dad hugged me close to him protectively.

Momma T opened the door and Tom and Mrs. Jodi walked in. They sat down across from us.

"What I wanna say is straight forward and to the point," Tom said signing at the same time.

"Get to it then," Dad said rudely.

"I just want to apologize for everything I did," Tom said, "I made a lot of mistakes and one of them was leaving my son, and a worse one was bringing in Tina’s sister to ruin your lives. I am so sorry. I would really like if you’ll allow me to at least be a part of Cal’s life. A friend, an acquaintance whatever, but if you’re unwilling to forgive me I’ll leave and never come back."
