    Bette meets Tina’s mother…

    Tina woke up a little after four. She turned to Bette and saw that the brunette was still sound asleep. She stared at her partner for a while, wondering how she got so lucky to meet someone like Bette. She was so gorgeous with her big puppy eyes and a smile that could lit up a room. Bette finally stirred and opened her eyes. She smiled at Tina.

    «Hey baby… What is it ? Am I drooling all over the pillow?», she asked when she caught Tina staring.

    «No… I was just admiring you. I love you so much baby», she said, leaning closer to kiss Bette.

    «And I love you too sweetie», Bette replied, stroking her hair.

    They got dressed and Tina called her dad who said he was already on his way to the hospital. «Tell mom I’ll be there shortly OK?». She hung up.

    «I have to go baby. Will you be all right by yourself?», Tina asked.

    «Yeah, I brought my laptop so I’ll start working on my first class», Bette replied.

    Tina smiled. «Dean Porter… That has a nice ring to it», she said.

    «I prefer when you call me baby…», Bette chuckled. Tina kissed her good-bye and went out the door to get a cab.

    When she entered her mother’s room, her father was nowhere to be found. «Hi mom. Where is dad?».

    «He went downstairs to get a cup of coffee»

    To Tina’s surprise, her mother looked a whole lot better than this morning and she told her so. «The doctor said the same thing when I saw him ten minutes ago. I thinks he wants me out so he give the room to someone else», she said with a smile. Tina’s mother asked her to sit on her bed and then took her hands in hers.

    «Did your father tell you about the visit I wanted to make?»

    «Yeah, he did. He also told me about Mrs Hodge and her daughter»

    Her mother sighed heavily. «I hate the way we left things at the airport. I shutter at the thought that this could have been the last time we saw each other… »

    Tina’s eyes welled up in tears. «Please, don’t say that mom…»

    «But you have thought about it, didn’t you ? No matter what Tina, I want you to know that I love you very much and that will never change. I should have told you that before today…»

    3. When Bette was talking about her mom I had tears in my eyes! Maybe Tina’s mom will accept Bette as her daughter too. Hope dad will come around. PPS!!

    5. Mrs. Kennard is a special lady. Even though she is not really happy with Tina’s choices she see that Tina and Bette are not only happy but deeply in love. Dinner with Dad, now that is a different story.

    10. This is a fantastic story, though there are parts of it I shouldn’t have tried to read at work. That should be an interesting dinner. Glad Tina’s Mom is okay and that they talked as well as her talking with Bette. Looking forward to the next update.

Knowing that your child is happy and being cared for is one of the most important desires a parent can have for their child. Good to have them mett and sort things trhough like adults.
