Bette looked at herself in the mirror and took a deep breath. She combed her fingers through her thick, curly hair and bit her bottom lip. Today was the day that she was marrying Tina Kennard, her lover, her friend, and the biological mother of their daughter. She closed her eyes and exhaled and looked at herself once more in the mirror.

“All right relax. Today is your and Tina’s day, and everything will go without a hitch. You are ready to marry the woman of your dreams.” There was a knock on the door, and Bette looked away from the mirror. She walked out of her bedroom and walked out into the living room. She walked towards the front door and smiled. She opened the door, and Shane smiled.

“You look great,” Bette nodded.

“Thank you.”

“Where’s Angelica?”

“Kit and Angus came and got her.”

“Are you ready to go?” Bette smiled and sighed.

“I’m ready.”

“All right—let’s go get married.”

                Tina took a deep breath as her and Alice made their way to Santa Monica Beach. She smiled softly as Alice was singing along to the song Beautiful Girls.

“Hey T,” she turned her head towards Alice. “Are you okay over there?”

“Yeah—I’m just thinking.”

“You’re not having any second thoughts are you?”

Tina shook her head no. “I’m just praying that Helena came through with Pink and Gwen Stefani or I’m going to strangle her.” Alice smiled as she continued to drive. “I’m so ready to marry her Alice. I’m so happy because our day is here. I feel like a giddy school girl.” Tina smiled coyly and relaxed in the seat. “I’m happy that Bette gave me another chance, and once again, I’ll be Mrs. Tina Porter-Kennard.”

“I’m very proud for the both of you. I’m glad that you two are back together. You both been through so much, and you both still have love for each other. I’m happy.” Tina felt her heart beat harder as they approached the beach.

“We’re here, Al—we’re here.” She grabbed Alice’s hand, and Alice smiled. She put down the visor and looked at her eye make-up. “Alice do I look okay? Do I look all right?” Alice parked the car and looked over at her friend.
