Chapter Nine
“James—,” James walked into Bette’s office. “Can you get Tom on the phone for me please?” He nodded and walked out of the office. Bette continued to go through paper work and chewed on her bottom lip.
“You’re welcome Bette,” Phyllis walked into her office. Bette looked up.
“What am I thanking you for?”
“Miss Katherine Brooks says that she would love to do Lez Girls.”
“Are you serious? She said that she’ll do it.” Phyllis nodded, and Bette smiled. “Oh my God—t-thank you Phyllis. I really do appreciate it this a lot. I know that Tina will too.”
“So we’re good on the favor asking?”
“Yes—,” Phyllis smiled and walked out of the office. Bette smiled, and James walked back into the office.
“Tom is on line one,” Bette answered her phone.
“Hello Tom, its Bette.”

“What kind of theme are you going for with Angelica’s party?” Alice took a drink of her tea.
“I don’t know—I was guessing like a Disney Princess or something.” Tina was looking through her Blackberry Pearl.
“So how many people are going to be here?”
“I just want family—our family to celebrate her first birthday. Kit’s going to close down the Planet for that day.” Tina got a message from Bette.
I’m a genius
What do you mean you’re a genius?
“What kind of cake do you want to get her?” Alice looked up at Tina.
“I don’t know—maybe a marble cake or why don’t I make her one.”
“How about we order her one—you know with the Disney Princess on top of it.” Tina looked at her phone and got another text.
I’ll tell you l8r—my place in an hour.
“That doesn’t sound like a bad idea.” Tina sent Bette a text back.
I can’t wait ttyl
Tina hit send. “Bette is calling herself a genius for some reason. She has something to tell me later.”
“Why would Bette put herself in that category? She’s not that smart.” Tina looked at Alice and smiled.
“Jealous?” Alice rolled her eyes.
“I’m not jealous.” Alice sighed. “Okay—maybe a little.” Alice grabbed her cup. “Do you think that Bette might get a little Alpha when it comes to do this birthday party?”

This was not boring at all. I enjoyed the conversations going on between Bette and Tina, and Shane Alice and Bette. I choose an all chocolate cake for Angelica’s birhday.
