CHAPTER 13
Bette felt Tina’s sudden recoil and a sense of dread immediately washed over her. She had overstepped the mark once again. If she carried on that way she would lose this woman all together. Her body ached for her so much that she found it hard to control herself.
Granted, Tina had taken the lead, but the brunette thought that she should have been more cautious and sought her approval before venturing the way she had. She needed to be more vocal. So much was lost because they actually could not look at each other. One look, a nanosecond of a glance could express so many unspoken words and this was an impossibility between them. Everything needed to be verbalised.
Bette let her head fall forward and rested it on Tina’s shoulder. She was still breathing heavily and her heart was thumping so hard inside her chest that she could hear it beat. Tina still had a grip on her head and her fingers were still tangled in her hair. Her head was thrown back as if she was looking at the ceiling. Her eyes were shut tight. She was holding her breath.
They seemed frozen in time like a statue. You would have been fooled to think that they were clenched into a loving embrace, only a closer look of their faces would show that both women were scared. One scared of what she was feeling, one worried to have scared.
"Oh my God………..what must you think of me?" Tina spoke first. She released her fingers from Bette’s hair and let her hands fall between the two of them, her head had fallen forward in a mark of defeat. She let out a sigh.
Bette was now looking at her. She placed her index finger under the blonde’s chin and lifted her head as if she wanted to lock eyes with her.
"No…..no…… You have done nothing wrong…….I shouldn’t have…….you are not ready…..it’s ok!" Bette said soothingly, "Please……do not think that way!"
Her face was close to the blonde’s. How she wanted to kiss away the worry on her face. "No!" she berated herself angrily, "Contain yourself!"
She touched her lips to Tina’s forehead and kissed it gently. The blonde seemed to relax a bit. "Maybe then….I should return to a more appropriate sitting position?" she managed with an awkward smile.

I hope Bette sees that Tina is need of her help. Please don’t let Tina be really hurt of die.
This is how life always happens isn’t it. You have the best days of your life and then you fall. Will Tina’s sight come back from this hit? Will she like what she physically sees when she sees Bette? Will any of that even happen? Only you can answer my many questions. Please answer them soon. This is such a great story.
Please give us another great chapter. Can’t believe you left us with Tina bleeding on the ground. I hope she regains her sight.
I’m at a loss for words. Wow. That was *good* Going on your A/N, I’d expected it to be something like Tina getting so scared she called Dana to come and get her or sth like that. Anyway, I hope Bette is able to help Tina by bringing her to the hospital in time. Please don’t kill Tina!
I btw must admit that what ladydove said went through my mind for nanosecond as well – will Tina regain eyesight? That would have quite the impact, her whole life is built on the fact that she’s blind now and although she’d probably be happy to see again, it will also feel so strange and maybe in those first few days or months she would long to be blind again. Anyway, I don’t know nearly enough about science, biology or anatomy to know whether that’s even possible with blindness.
That was both beautiful and heartrending. Whatever happens, I wish this story would go on, and on, and on and on….
Ladydove, I have the answer to one of your questions: “Will she like what she physically sees when she sees Bette?” Come on, my friend… I really have no idea what Kins has in store for us, but one thing I know for certain is that if Tina ever recovers her sight, she might surely go blind again because of Bette’s dazzling beauty… Don’t you agree? ;) Thanks a lot for the update Kins, and please let Tina be okay. Oh damn, please tell me you already have the next chapter ready to post. Please make Bette look up and see her lying there bleeding. Maybe this will be the shock to the system that will restore her sight. Personally, I think the force of the airbag hitting her in the face is what caused her blindness and now the force of the fall and hitting her head will cause her to see again, hopefully. Bette please look up the sidewalk for Tina or at least get out of that car and go look for her, she has already been gone to long. Great update. Thanks for posting. PPVVS

OMG Kins40…! You left us here?!? So cruel…! LOL thanks for another great chapter :-) I’m looking forward to know what happen next..PPVS. Btw still can’t believe Bette let Tina walk by herself on that condition (slippery, raining, etc) regardless how familiar Tina is with her place, however … I believe you won’t let something bad happen, right?? :-) PS: call me silly, but after you left us on the ending of previous chapter, I thought Tina miraculously gain her vision back. But now.. Would it happen?? …. Anxiously waiting for your next post :-)
