Collision Course 4.78
Paige was at home and Jarrod was in bed already. Both were exhausted over the day’s adventures, but it was only 7pm, and Paige was full of pent up energy. Deciding that food might be in order, she got up and moved to the small kitchen, tearing open the fridge, but finding nothing. Frustrated, in more ways than one, Paige let the door of the fridge swing closed. As it closed, it revealed Helena standing there, Paige gasped, “Oh my god, where did you come from?”
“From The Planet, with food, I thought you and Jarrod may need something to eat. Where is he?” asked Helena as she looked around. The handsome young man seemed very leery of her, so Helena was keen on getting on his good side.
“In bed, he was exhausted,” explained Paige. Paige took a long hard breath, her body shuddered. “I have no idea what I would have done if he’d been hurt or even… k-k-killed….”
“He’s fine,” assured Helena, reaching out and taking her hand into her own, rubbing her thumb along Paige’s hand. “He was delivered from the clutches of the devil,” stated Helena dramatically.
“I’d like to have known exactly what happened, but they, the FBI, won’t tell us anything, just that he was safe. It was Shane’s father, Gabe that took them, but…. But they won’t let Shane see him, or talk to him, it’s like they are trying to sweep this all under the rug. They got the reporters away from my doorstep in two minutes flat….,” rambled Paige.
“I’m sure Jo Wheaton had a hand in somehow keeping the insanity at bay,” said Helena, taking the small bag of food and leading Paige into the living room. “The only thing you should be worried about now is Jarrod.”
Paige sat down on the old chair, elbows on her knees, her blonde hair falling around her face, “I’ve been asking myself the same questions over and over again all my life. Why me? Why did I get pregnant, why did I get married….”
“You’re in a state of shock, you need to unwind and stop over thinking everything, please,” said Helena in a soothing voice that Paige appreciated. “Come, sit, and eat.”

What a mix of couples (lol). Except for Alice, I just think these woman are confused as heck on who they want to be with.
Okay my dear, WOW WOW WOW. If I was Bette I wouldnt be in the spare bedroom. Quin is to good a person to mess up her life again. There is some one for someone that will turn her world upside down. Hehe… This was a fun chapter. I can totally see Alice running around pissed ’cause she was out of the loop. And Natalie is being such a tease!
Aw, Lara ran. I wasn’t expecting that. I hope she comes back, cos Shane deserves some happiness. Helena and Paige seem to be moving along at a nice clip. Quin should get back on that wagon and tighten her pull on the reins. No more slide into the abyss for her, please. Maybe Spencer and her friends will keep her on the straight and narrow? …Ok, Bette and Tina? Third chances? Really? I have my doubts… but we’ll see, shall we? What *did* Jo tell Tina? And lastly, I like the Al-Natalie relationship a lot. Friends, lovers, whatever else… it doesn’t matter, they play off each other really well. Thanks for the great update, Janet.

i love this chapter and lara need to make her mind up and she need to stop running away or she will end up lonely in life as for the alice and shane talk that was great and I can’t wait for the next post so please post soon great update

OK, I just finished page 12. I just checked and my pulse isn’t racing. My head isn’t spinning. I went back to be sure I hadn’t missed any pages!!! Yet, I still loved it. I am not into it just for the cheap thrills!!! At first you got me–WTF? A couple of hours after despair over losing Jo forever, Bette is thinking about reuniting with Tina? Then you had Shane and Alice mending their friendship, and I got it. Fate sure moves quicly when it is righting itself. Or are you being a trickster again? Hmmmm. I wonder if, by the end, you are going to pair Bette and Daisy. And by the way, are we going to learn at what point fate went awry?
