Chapter 10
It was Sunday afternoon and after another full morning of love making, they were exhausted, The pink elephant in the room was getting difficult to ignore. Helena was coming home and they were both expected at the house that evening to celebrate with a dinner in her honor.
Bette looked over at her as she stared at the ceiling. Their hands entwined, Tina seemed like she was a million miles away.
“You ok?”
“Yeah, you?”
“T, don’t worry about tonight. I’m sure it will go fine.”
“I’m not worried…I just…”
“What?”
“I just don’t want to sit in a room with everyone that knows us and keep this great thing that’s happening in my life from them.”
Bette curled into her trying to lighten the mood. “You mean little ole me?”
Tina smacked her head and smiled. “I’m serious Bette.”
Bette resumed her previous position and cupped her face with her hand.
“T, look, I know how you feel. I feel the same way. I want to share how happy I am with everyone too. This is just temporary. I’m not going to hide my girlfriend forever.”
Tina looked at her. “Girlfriend?”
Bette panicked. Had she assumed too much? “Uh, well, no I mean…”
“Am I your girlfriend?”
Bette blushed but felt better now that Tina was smiling. “Do you want to be? I mean I thought that was a given after the weekend we’ve just had but…if you’re not ready…”
“Um, not ready? Yeah, no, totally ready. Really, really, ready.” Tina kissed her between words.
“Well, then maybe we need to seal the deal.”
Tina giggled as Bette kissed her neck. “Again? You’re insatiable.”
“I am, but only cause you’re irresistible.”
They made love again for another hour before they realized that they needed to get ready for Peggy’s house. They decided separate bathrooms would be the only way they would get to the Peabody’s on time. Bette finished first and waited in the kitchen for Tina to emerge. Bette wore white dress pants and a dark blue halter top which showed off her exquisitely tones shoulders and back. She looked at the clock and wondered if they would make it.

Helena’s a bit of a spoiled brat, isn’t she? While Bette was less than tactful or sympathetic in introducing her and Tina’s relationship, Helena really did test Bette’s patience in bringing Jodi around. It was a needlessly spiteful thing to do. That being said, Peggy’s obviously got a lot to say to the both of them. How the drama’s going to play out is going to be fun to read. I’m glad we got updates in triplicate from you, JBM. Thank you! :)
Damn I would love for Bette jsut to kick Helena’s ASS so hard but she did not because of Peggy. Bad Bette for outing her and Tina like that. When do we get round 2? Thank you PPVS

Wow, seems like the rehab didn’t do anything to help Helena’s attitude. She was already scheming against Bette before she came home. Maybe this will push her to the breaking point and she’ll finally grow up.

when i suggested helena meet someone at rehab… never thought you would have her meet jody at the air port… loved this chapter… drama and more drama… but in the end… its all BETTE AND TINA… helena eat your heart out… pps
Helena had it all and she threw it away. Bette stayed away from Tina all these years Finally Tina wanted Bette and allowed herself to fall in love with Bette.

Hi JB, I am just reveling in the wonder of three new posts from you.Perfection comes in threes.This chapter was so explosive as things came to a head when Helena return with Jodi in tow.Bette was right to call Helena out on her shit however revealing her relationship with Tina was ill-judged.I think Tina was right in storming out and letting them get on with it.What was brilliant was Bette’s apology after her friends told her a thing or too and listened as she got her own head in gear.I can’t wait to read more.Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.
