The door bell sound as soon as Bette released the phone. She looked the watch. Must be Shane. Bette walked slowly and before opened she anticipated the conversation.

“Shane? Alice didn’t need to bother you…I’m o…”

“You’re so much receptive sometimes, when you’re on the phone, Bette. I should tell Tina to have THAT conversation that both of you are postponing, on the phone.”

Bette smiled to Alice and gave her a hug…

“And I didn’t bother Shane.” She stopped her track to the kitchen and looked Bette intently.

Bette chucked. “Oh, yeah…?”
