    Chapter 33

    Previously…

    “Bette I was really worried, you didn’t even call to let me know you couldn’t get the kids. I didn’t know if something was wrong with you or the baby.” Tina said as the tears started to fall.

    “Oh baby.. I’m sorry I made you worry. I am fine, and the baby is fine.” Bette wrapped her arms around Tina. “I’m sorry baby… I missed you so much the only thing I was thinking about was getting home to you.” she whispered in Tina’s ear.

    “I missed you to babe.”

    * * * * *

    “Mommy!” Bette and Tina were interrupted by the sounds of three little ones running down the hall to greet their Mommy.

    “They missed you to”

    “I guess so”

    “Mommy… you didn’t come get us” Haily said

    “and you were gone so long”

    “I know guys.. I’m sorry. Sometimes I might have to be gone to work for a long time, but I promise it wont be very often. Ok” Bette looked to Tina “I promise”

    Tina caught sight of Shane coming down the hall.

    “Babe there is someone I want you to meet…. Bette this is Shane”

    “Hello… It’s very nice to meet you” Bette said extending her hand to shake Shane’s.

    “I see where Colin gets his manners.”

    “Thank you… Tina has told me so much about you I feel like I already know you. I’m glad you decided to join us for dinner.”

    “Thanks for the invite.”

    “You are welcome here anytime.”

    Bette felt Colin tug at her arm. “Mommy.. Shane said she would give me a hair cut, if it’s Ok with you.”

    “I hope you don’t mind. The girls were hittin’ me up and well…”

    “No need to explain.”

    “Yeah Bette knows all to well how our children can be, just look at the girl’s room. Right babe?”

    Bette smiled and changed the subject back to Colin’s hair. “If your sure you don’t mind, a hair cut would be great.”

    “I don’t mind at all, I would love to”

    11. Hey TB513, Love that Tina is just there for Bette. Their romance has been sudden and moved so quickly but is so right that they both are in it. Shane mentioning the past has affected Bette greatly. Bette is in a different place in her life now and ready to fully commit to the love of her life. I can fully understand Shane reservations about this relationship but seeing them together must allay her fears and prove their love. Time will tell. Bette just needs to ride this rollercoaster with Tina by her side. Adorable and loving it. Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.
