Destiny in a Mechanics shop (Pt 14) Shit Joel!

Tina sat on her couch and stared at the plain cream wall. She had been sitting there for almost two days now. Not moving to get something to eat, to answer the phone, to even go to the bathroom. Joel had called numerous times, leaving message after message on the machine, finally giving in at call attempt number 45. Tina never flinched at anything, her head resting soley on her up right arm, that leant on the arm of the couch. The apartment silent, well except for the fridge saying a word or two about its current state of cool all her delisious food. Her face never changed emotion, just pure hurt.

‘What do i do now?’ She felt so stupid, she knew the answer, yet didn’t really want to admit it to herself. However there were other people to consider in this situation. There was Joel and Alice…

“Oh ***** Joel!” Tina never heard the calls on the answering machine, she was in in depth thought and nothing was going to pulse through to tell her any different.

After almost 48 hours of sitting in the same position, Tina finally broke free of her thought and moved into her bed room, picking up the portable phone as she did so. Automaticly dialing Joel’s number, she didn’t have to look at the buttons, her fingers knew there destination and were easily placed on the right buttons. Bringing the phone to her ear, as she sat on the corner of her chaotic bed sheets. Hearing the dial tone, tina waited for the voice she heard for the past eight months.

“Hello?” Tina sighed into the phone, hearing that undeniable strong male voice on the other end.

    “Hey Joel….Its Tina.”

“Tina where have you been? I’ve been worried out of my mind…You said you were just going outside to get some fresh air and then you never came back… I had to ask that Brunette about you…You know the one that ran after you out of the toilets?”

Tina’s breathe shuddered a little as she heard her so called boyfriend talk about Bette. If only he knew what really happened after that brunette ran outside after her.

“Sorry about that…I wasn’t feeling very well after those Scotches and I was so baffled that I just went home without telling you. I hope you can forgive me?”

“Sure Tinnyie, I can forgive you.” His voice sounding ever so lucious, Tina knew what was going to come next. “Feel like some company?”

“Uhm no, not really…I ra…I rang to tell you that I need some time on my own… To think about my life right now… Where I want to be and stuff.” Inhailing another breath, Tina started to feel a little dizzy.

“Thats fine Tinnyie, how long do you need a day or two? Or maybe a week?’

“Actually Joel…What I’m trying to say is… Is I dont want to be with you anymore… I have issues to straighten out on my own and I need space to think about things thoroughly.”

There was a pause on the other end of the line…Shock? Of course it was…Joel didn’t have a clue about the details that ran through Tina’s mind about a brunette that he met two days ago.

A sharply inhailed breath filled tinals ears…”Ohh okay then.” Doubt? Yup it was there in his quivering voice. Fear? That to, the fear that he had hurt Tina.

“So I guess I’ll see you later.” His voice started masculin then drop to a fifteen year old.

“yeah I guess so…Good bye Joel Williams.” Tina said in her most sweetest voice.

    “Good bye Tina Kennard.”

Tina hung up, she couldn’t face hearing another word from Joel right now…It was to heart breaking..

“Your life is so fucked.” Tina’s brain shouted at her. She threw the phone onto the bed, then shuffled into the kitchen, opening the freezer to find her stash of Chocolate Ice-cream. Pulling it out and leaving it on the bench for a few seconds, while she found other toppings to drown her problems away…
the sweet tasting aphrodesiac swarming over her body, Tina felt so relaxed. Every mouthfull made her fill so much better…( well of course it would…She hadn’t eaten in two days!!)

Now she could think properly…Strategically plan her movements…With work and her relationships…
