    Chapter 5 – Tête-à-tête

    PREVIOUSLY…

    Bette: It’s okay… Hey, Tina, would you mind having dinner with me tonight? I would love to catch up with you.

    Tina nodded.

    Tina: I would love to. I don’t think the girls will mind spending an evening alone in a hotel room with room service.

    Bette chuckled.

    Bette: So, what do you say of 7PM, Le Nappe Blue. It’s an amazing restaurant.

    Tina (smiling) : I don’t know where that is, I am staying at the Eduard 7 Hotel and I know it’s not around there.

    Bette: I’ll send a cab to pick you up at 6.45PM.

    Tina shook her head with a smile.

    Tina: You will never change, will you?

    Bette smiled.

    Bette: I have changed on some levels.

    Tina: We’ll talk about that tonight, as amazing as this gallery is; I think the girls would rather be outside.

    Bette nodded.

    Bette: I understand.

    Tina: So, I’ll see you tonight?

    Bette: Of course, you will.

    They gave each other a tight hug.

    Tina: See you later.

    Bette: See ya.

    Tina gave Bette a killer smile that made the brunette’s knees buckle, she smiled back and with that, Tina walked to her kids. Said something to them and walked out of the gallery. Both women couldn’t get the smiles of their faces for the entire day.

    It was 5:45PM and Tina tried to find something to wear. She hadn’t packed a decent dress for some reason so she was trying to find something else.

    Judith: Mom, it’s not as if you are going on a date. Just pick a shirt and a jean.

    Tina turned around and looked at her daughter that was lying on her bad, watching T.V.

    Tina: Judy, I want to look a little good. It’s been 10 years you know. I don’t want her to think I’m some old woman now.

    Judith rolled her eyes and stood up. She walked over to the closet and began looking through it.

    Judith: This is easy.

    She picked a pair of black, tailored pants and a white shirt.

    Judith: Now, only some make up and silver jewelry, then you are ready.

    Tina smiled at her daughter and kissed her on the brow.

    Tina: You are a sweetheart… Now, what is your sister doing?

    3. Great update. The cab driver needs to be patient, he is being paid after all. So good that they could talk again and be fairly relaxed with each other. Hope they can see a lot of each other before Tina has to leave, they need each other. Did vivienne legally adopt Yves? Hope she didn’t. I’m thinking too far ahead in the story. lol Thanks for posting. PPS
