    Don’t Give Up #03

Unfortunately the phone call had been an agent representing one of the up and coming artists for my show. To know such luck of it being Tina I couldn’t help but express my disappointment.

I kept the phone call short and sweet, I told a white lie saying I was extemely busy. To some degree it was a lie; but then in my eyes it wasn’t as I was focusing on Tina, our son and loss of being without them both. Something I never did take time out to appreciate them.

As I prepared for work I reminisced about the times I would glance over from the bathroom to see Tina sleeping peacefully. She was my angel; as much as I’m not arrogant enough to believe that religion will save me from my sins. I do believe Tina was sent to me; to mend my unforgivable ways. It was nothing short of a miracle she entered my life at a point that was pivotal to my survival.

All my life I have been independent and striving towards success. I’ve gained valuable status within the art community but what is that- when I can not share it with the one I love. No matter how busy she was, she took the time to accompany me to business ventures at the drop of a hat.

Back then I see how self-fish I had been, always expecting and never asking if she was ok or what was going on in her world. My self -fishness was my own stupidity at the expectations of what a partner should do but never once did I offer the same in return.

I took one long last glance at the bed I’d once shared with the only woman that would ever occupy it and proceeded to get myself ready for the long day ahead of me.

As I turned the shower head on, I felt a sense of relief as the ice cold water perturbed my thoughts of Tina. I’d become accustomed to having cold showers it was the only way of breaking the cycle of her. I washed my body quickly, and dampened my dark mane. When I turned the dial to switch off the water; I heard a light knock at the door.

    1. Very nice and heartbreaking chapter for both of them. I’m not so sure Tina has completely made up her mind. At first I thought Tina was going to say whe was seeing Helena which probably would have given Bette more than a slightly queasy feeling. Nice chapter. And as for my next one it will be from Helena’s point of view. Can’t wait for your next one.

    2. You know what, you are a tease, caramel! That knot in my stomach is still there! I don’t like it when they don’t get on. Make them be happy…..now!…..please? Thank you for posting, hope you like your new place! :0)
