Don’t run, walk-4
They both enjoyed their silent walk around the gallery, even though neither of them had looked at a single piece of art. They were just so unbelievably comfortable being in each others company that Bette hadnt even removed her hand from Tinas back. I cant believe that I have finally met a girl that is getting so under my skin. This is the best feeling Ive felt in ages. She is completely drop dead gorgeous. She looks intelligent and she has a thing for art. Or at least I think she has. I mean she is in my gallery. I really have to get to know this girl.
WOW, was mainly all that Tina was thinking. This amazing woman just became even more amazing. She owns her own gallery for Christ sakes. It looks like a great gallery too. Not that I can really comment. Ive been looking at Bette more than the paintings. How could I not? Why am I in such awe of this woman? Ive never had such strong feelings for anyone. EVER! I guess her hand on my back isnt helping matters.
The tour had finally come to an end but they just didnt seem to want to part.
Sooo. Began Bette.
Yeah. Sooo replied Tina.
They both began to look around the gallery nervously, Tina finally seeing some of the fascinating art on the walls.
After a few more awkward moments between them, Bette decided to break the ice.
So how did you find out about my gallery?
Im really too embarrassed to say. I will say though, Im extremely glad I did.
I am too but know you have me intrigued. Why is it embarrassing? You have to tell me now!
Promise you wont laugh?
Promise.
Ok. Its probably a good thing Im telling you this. You could probably help me out of this stupid predicament that Im in.
I will certainly try. Now tell me! Come on, youre killing me here.
Ok ok here goes. Im lost. I have absolutely no idea where I am and when I saw Bette Porter hanging above an art gallery I figured it could belong to this insane woman that literally ran into me this morning, spilling coffee on my trousers, and thought she might feel guilty enough to show me how to get back home? Cant tell you how relieved I am that you are the same Bette as this morning. If you werent I would have been sooo embarrassed.
Bette tried to cover her mouth with her had to stifle the laugh that was trying to escape her lips. Man she looks sooo cute when she rambles on like that.
Ok here is what I will do for you. We are even on the whole coffee thing because you actually broke my nail, so I have nothing to feel guilty about. This is my deal. You let me take you out for lunch and afterwards I shall drive you home. How about it? Now that was awfully brave of me. Lets just hope my Porter charm is in working order today
Tina didnt want to seem over keen to reply to Bette so pretended to be really considering her offer. Youre on. She replied after a few more moments. How could I not accept her offer? What does she think I am? Stupid? Well I maybe am a little!
Wait. Did I just hear you correctly? I broke you nail? How did you work that out?
You didnt. It was just me being a genius and being sneaky in my plan.
I must have caught it on you somewhere along the line. It was defiantly you. Bette answered as she led them both out to her car. Oh man! Bette exclaimed.
What? questioned Tina.
Dammit. I forgot about Alice.
