At one thirty in the morning Tina’s phone rang. She had gotten home from the club about an hour ago and was half asleep as she reached for the phone.

“Hello?” she answered sleepily.

“Hi” a soft voice on the other end replied. Tina immediately sat up in bed with a smile “Hi”

“I woke you up didn’t I?” Bette asked with a guilty tone in her voice.

“No it’s ok…I’m glad you did” Tina smiled.

“Well I promised you I’d call so I figured sooner was better than later”

Tina laughed softly as she changed position to sit more comfortable “Did you just get home?”

“I did, when did you get home?”

“About an hour ago” Tina answered “So…did that girl hit on you some more after I left?” she asked, referring back to the blonde that had hit on Bette by the bar before she had showed up.

“Nah I think she got the message that I wasn’t interested in her” Bette chuckled softly “How about you? Did you have someone come on to you?” she asked curiously.

“There may have been a few” Tina chuckled.

“Well that doesn’t surprise me with the dress you were wearing” Bette teased.

“Shut up” Tina laughed “It wasn’t that bad”

“Oh it definitely wasn’t bad” Bette chuckled “It was very sexy”

Tina smiled and blushed at the brunette’s words. They stayed silent for a moment before Bette spoke again “Tina?”

“Yeah” Tina smiled.

“I would really love to see you again”

“I would love to see you too”

“What are you doing tomorrow night?” Bette asked.

“Um I don’t have any plans yet, I would love to spend it with you” Tina smiled.

Bette smiled brightly at the blonde’s words “Ok great, I know exactly where to take you”

“Where?” Tina asked curiously.

“It’s a surprise” Bette smiled “Just dress casually and I will pick you up, will six be ok?”

“Yeah six is fine” Tina smiled “I can’t wait to see what this surprise might be” she chuckled.

“I’ll see you tomorrow Tina” Bette smiled “Sleep well”

“You too” Tina smiled.

Bette was standing outside of Tina’s apartment door feeling both excited and nervous at the same time. She took a deep breath before knocking on the door.
