Chapter Fourteen
It’s six o’clock in the evening and there is a knock on the door.
“Come in.” Bette calls out. In walk Maryann and Megan.
“Hi there.” Maryann says and smiles at Tina and then Bette. She walks up to the bedside.
“How are you feeling today?” Maryann asks.
“Hi, I’m better today. Bette took me outside today, that was refreshing, smell something other than this hospital smell.” Tina replies.
“Oh, that’s great, means you’re getting better.” Maryann says with a smile.
“Yeah.” Tina smiles back. Megan stands a little in the background, it was the first time she came with Maryann to the hospital and it was the first time she saw Tina since the movie premiere at the school.
“Hi, Megan.” Tina says, smiling at her.
“Hi, Ms. K-C.” Megan replies. “I’m glad to see you’re getting better.” She adds.
“Thank you.” Tina softly replies.
“So, about tomorrow, we’ll keep Evan company throughout the day. Bette will call when the trial is done for the day, so we could come over with Evan. I’m sure you’ll miss him terribly and wants to see him after.” Maryann says.
“Yeah. I can’t thank you enough Maryann. I’m in debt to you forever.” Tina says as a single tear slips down her cheek.
“Oh nonsense. Evan is a pleasure. We should be thanking you. He’s such a lovely little boy.” Maryann replies.
“Thank you, that’s sweet of you. He is the best.” Tina says with a wide smile on her bruised up face. Evan chose this moment to wake up. He had slept long enough. “Oh, could you lift him up here Bette? I’d like to say goodbye to him.” Tina says.
“Off course. Come here little guy, mommy wants to see you.” Bette lifts him up and he’s eyes are droopy, but getting used to the light as the seconds goes by. Bette carefully lays him down in Tina’s arms. She kisses his forehead and let it linger there for a few seconds. A single tear falls down her cheek. She quickly wipes it away. “Mommy loves you so much baby.” Tina whispers.
A warm sensation comes over Bette as she watches the scene between Tina and her son. “Beautiful she thinks.”
Evan smiles and touches Tina’s face, exploring mouth and nose.

Loved the update. Was hoping that when then were talking about getting Tina’s life together that Bette would tell her let’s talk about that together rather than tell her that she would do great in LA. I think Tina would rather go to Nashville with Bette first, then they could tak about going to LA together. Maybe that could be the next chapter conversation that they have after a hopefully successful trial. Really hope that if there is a change in judges’ as socal mentioned, that the new judge will be the senior judge, Michael Porter, Bette’s brother. He can always assign himself to hold the hearing so that nothing gets bungled up and eric goes to jail for a very long time. He may not have seen the damage that eric did to her but MaryAnn did see it for herself and she can tell him how badly Tina was banged up. And you know he will listen to his wife and he will also take into consideration the evidence given to him by his little sister, Bette. Tina needs to have her attorney file for divorce immediately following the hearing. I hope her attorney is sharp enough to have already prepared the paper work,”just in case.” Wish Joyce Wischnia could have been her attorney, and we know Joyce would have thought of doing that for her.lol She won’t rest well until that divorce is filed to sever her connection to eric and to change her name. She can request that her name be changed within the divorce petition and she doesn’t just have to use her own last name, she can change it to anything she wants it to be as long as it isn’t collins. I feel so sorry for Tina at this point because she is thinking she might have a future with Bette and Bette doesn’t seem to be thinking the same thing, maybe she’s just thinking that she has to get thru one thing at a time. Get the trial over then sit and talk with Tina about the possibility of them being together if that is what Tina wants. I believe they both want to be together but really have to sit down and talk about it. There is also the fact that if Tina still wants a career with the movies, she needs to be in LA not Nashville. Will Bette want to live in LA and work with LAPD or does she want to stay in Nashville. Is Bette in a relationship at present? All sorts of things will come into question at the moment. Thank you for the update. I am glad the DV’s been dealing with and that Tina has left Eric. Now she needs to divorce him straight away. it is a shame that he will still be Evan dad. but as FF writer you can make him disappear for good, sign all rights to Tina and Bette lol. I will love that.I just cannot stand a women beater. Can Bette also find few friends who are willing to teach him in prison how to treat women lol? Thank you for posting.
Thank you for the update. I was hoping I would see a chapter of this today. I hope Tina realizes how strong she is and gets through the trial and starts to really heal.

This story is getting better and better, I love how Bette helped Tina with her shower, and the buying of the outfits was pricless. Let’s hope that Tina’s soon be ex, gets the book thrown at him, and when Bette leaves to go back to Nashville-a very place-she takes Tina&Evan with her, he is so bonding to Bette and the rest of her family.

I missed this over the weekend. So glad that Tina is finally getting her chance to close this chapter of her life. Evan needs her well….then she and Bette need to get on the same page!!! PPS!

i hate the fact that eric isso controling over tina he’s an ass lol i like2 the fact tina decided to wear the white for bette n i bet she looked great
hmm. why do i get the feeling that there will be a change in judges when they enter the court? ahhh, the mystery deepens. this is such a great story and thank you for taking the time to post for us. can’t wait to read further updates and can’t wait to “see” what gruop of women are there to to support tina and battle against the woman beating man.
