Jodi (bitterly): You’re not only defending Bette but Tina as well.
Kit (nodding): Yes because they are my family.
Jodi (turning to leave and making sure Kit heard her): Just be ready to pick up the pieces when Tina leaves her again and this time she will take Angie away from Bette.
Kit (angrily): Shit (she walked in her office and sat down. This was not going to end well.)
Alice (knocking): Hey thought we’d drop by (looking at Kit and seeing how upset she was) Kit hey what’s wrong? Is something wrong with Angie?
Kit (shaking her head): No as far as I know Angie is fine. But dam it has been one hell of a crazy day.
Alice (sitting down): Well fill me in. Tasha should be coming in with coffee.
Kit (leaning back): Get comfortable this could take a while.
Alice (wondering): Kit you’re scaring me what’s going on.
Kit (leaning back in her chair): You missed some major shit this morning and this afternoon and I have a bad feeling it isn’t over.

Bette and Tina’s House
Tina put the bags on the counter as Bette set the table. Helena and Shane were playing with Angie and this would give her a few moments to talk with Bette.
Tina (leaning against the door frame): Babe…
Bette (looking up): Hey! What’s wrong?
Tina (walking over to her and wrapping her arms around her): I was just about to ask you the same thing. You promised you wouldn’t shut me out.

Bette (tilting her head back and blowing out a breath): There is nothing that compares to how I feel when I’m with you. (Rubbing Tina’s back) when she touched me today earlier I felt so cold and empty. (Reaching up and touching Tina’s face) when she tried to seduce me on the beach I felt nothing but animosity and even more emptiness. Her touch today made me realize that we never really connected and I wonder why I never realized it before.
