    Dana thinks about the beginning and the first toe curling moment…

    Previously-

    “I’m sorry” Alice murmured as she drifted back to sleep curled up in Dana’s arms.

    Dana stared at Alice for a few minutes watching her sleep and really noticing just how beautiful Alice was.  Dana still didn’t understand what was happening between them, but nothing felt more right than having Alice sleeping in her arms at that very moment.  She gave Alice a soft kiss on her forehead and gently ran her fingers through her hair before falling into a very peaceful night sleep.  

     

    Chapter 6 –

    (Present)

    Dana smiled a sad smile as she pulled out of the Bull Pen parking lot and drove away from the city.  She hoped the apartment was still empty and no one would care if she parked in front of the building and remembered the many days she spent there.  Dana rolled down the window and shut off the engine of her SUV, both surprised and glad the building still looked just the way she remembered. 

     

    (November 2001)

    Dana woke up to sunlight shining on her and a smile on her face.  Alice was still curled up against her and she looked beautiful.  Her hair glistened in the sunlight and Dana was positive she had never seen anything more beautiful.  Alice began to wake up and snuggled closer to Dana.  As she opened her eyes, she smiled upon seeing the huge smile on Dana’s face.

    “Good morning” Alice mumbled continuing to come out of her sleep induced fog. 

    “Good morning.  Did you sleep okay?”  Dana asked as she began rubbing circles on Alice’s back.

    Alice smiled again and laid her head back down on Dana’s bare shoulder.  Dana didn’t mind Alice using her for a pillow and Alice didn’t want to move because she was happy lying in Dana’s arms.  “Uh huh” Alice replied as she ran her fingers over Dana’s bare tummy and watched the muscles jump.  Dana tried not to laugh or jump as Alice’s fingers moved across her abdomen.  She was beginning to wish she had chosen to wear a shirt to bed instead of her normal PJ’s that consisted of a sports bra and boxers.  Dana had always been ticklish, especially on her belly and Alice was having fun torturing Dana and watching her struggle not to smile.

    1. You had me at “toe curling”. Another excellent chapter! You are on a roll. Love the laying in bed and talking — you can always get coffee and a smoke later. Laying in bed with Alice may be a good way to quit smoking, come to think of it. What a great first kiss. I’ve tried to hide a new romance like Alice and Dana here before and, you’re right, it doesn’t work. But it is fun. Alice needs to kick Jay to the curb. Sneaky!Dana to plan on how to skip class. I’m proud of both girls to be so open in discussing their concerns about deepening the relationship. Excellent job on the NC-17. I know the first one can be difficult, but, you did a great job portraying both the feelings and action. Very smart of you to include the warning. Hot!! Thanks so much for the quick post, cougar. I hope you get some sleep soon!

    4. All these flash backs, really make me want to know why they separated and can’t wait till it is revealed. Back to this, D smoked? Was there another story behind it? A very bad D, skipping class in order to get some.. and her brain was mush, lol. Your NC-17 job was very well done. Your interpretation of “love making” is just perfect. I like this version of D being all honest and willing to take a chance by wearing her heart out on her sleeve. And I also love how they already knew each other’s mood so well after just a week together. One more question, the rose tattoo on A, was it something significant? Thank you very much cougar. Hope you have a good rest. Please do not burn yourself out. We want you here with us for a long time.
