Chapter 21
“We should?” Bette asked as she gave Jessica a perplexed look
Jessica smiled
“I know who you are, or rather what you once meant to Tina”
Bette remained silent; she was shocked Jessica knew anything at all about her let alone what went on between her and Tina. Bette figured Jessica must really be special and mean a lot to Tina if Tina would share that part of her life with her.
“You know about me and Tina?” Bette asked
Jessica nodded
Bette looked into the blue eyes that were now looking at her with… what Bette thought to be understanding.
“Bette, I’m not judging you, what happened between you and Tina well, it’s between you and Tina, I just want you to know I care a lot about her I would hate to see her get hurt”
“I’m not trying to hurt her” Bette quickly said
“Good” Jessica smiled
“I just want her to be happy” Bette said looking down
“Me too she’s very special to me and all I can hope for now is for her to find the part of her…she’s been missing I’m really going to miss….”
Before Jessica could finish Nikki and Shane walked back to the table.
“You ready Jess? I have credit cards burning a hole in my pocket”
“Yeah let’s go”
“It was nice meeting you Bette” Jessica held her hand Bette got up and shook Jessica’s hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, Jessica smiled.
“Shane I’ll see you later, tell Tina I will call her about dinner”
“I will” Shane smiled
“Bye’ Nikki waved as she gave Shane a wink
“Really Shane Nikki Stevens”
“She’s cute” Shane shrugged her shoulders
“You ok?” Shane asked
“Yeah, I’m ok she’s really a very nice person, I can see why Tina is taken with her”
“Yeah, I wanted so much to hate her but I can’t” Shane chuckled
Bette smiled she knew Shane was very loyal to her friends.
“It’s ok if you like her you know” Bette smirked
“I won’t hold it against you”
“Gee thanks that makes me feel so much better” Shane rolled her eyes

Love this story, – Actually love all your stories!!! Looking forward to more. Can’t wait to see how Tina and Bette get back together in this one.
Oh gosh, can’t they ever just be still and talk to each other without getting all crazy and defensive. It would have only taken Tina one minute to listen and Bette, one minute to say 11 words: I’m divorced, I lost the baby, more than three yrs. ago. Eleven little words, that’s all it would have taken. And it could have ended all the anguish they put themselves through. It would have been out in the open and then Tina and Bette could have finihed their lunch and made their decisions from that point. Damn they make me so mad sometimes. Love the story and I hope they can come to terms with each other and find themselves being friends again and back in a new relationship with each other by the time this story ends. Great update. thanks for posting. More Please and quickly.
