    HEREAFTER. Chapter 22. The Real Thing.

    That Sunday morning after Bette left Nadias apartment she had called Tina to tell her she couldnt join her for lunch latter that day, she had a bunch of excuses she needed to go home take a shower, maybe sleep a little, take her pain medicine, wait for Jessies arrival and foremost she needed time, she knew she couldnt have handled Tina that morning. Of course none of those where good enough to share with Tina so she made emends.

    The night before when she was leaving Tinas apartment they had almost kissed again. And she had wanted, her lips had been burning since the almost kiss at the beginning of the night and she was sure that if Tina had leaned just a bit the kiss would have happened, But Tina didnt instead she came as close as possible to Bettes face thank her for the dinner and kissed her on the right cheek, it was with shivers down her spine that Bette backed away and came running out of the apartment and didnt stop till she was on Nadias Bed, she still couldnt forgive herself for that, because that had been more then just get off with your ***** buddy,

    Emends time had come a week and a half later from that Sunday since Tina had to go to Chicago in a work related trip, now it was Wednesday and they had had a Lunch date, Bette didnt know where, Tina was picking her up at the CAC. Tina had told her to wait for her outside not wanting to cause any commotion coming to get her to her office, Bette was appreciative of that, she didnt need anymore pressure.

    The black convertible came and parked in the curve and before Bette could verify if this was actually Tinas car, Tina was already out

    Hey she said walking to her, and kissing her once again on the cheek, that was a steep forward that Tina didnt want to walk back

    Hey Bette said a little surprise by Tinas casual manner and wear

    Would you like to drive is an amazing day Tina said

    1. How sad,to lose someone you love.you fell in love with a small baby,then the mother,Bette was never IN love with Candace.but did love her How sad. Maybe the god of love will bring them back together Thanks so much for beautiful,but sad story.

    8. ok, i was a little harsh and premature in my feelings about candace. i still think of her as the show’s homewrecker, but here in this story, she isn’t so bad. excellent job of writing and transferring the emotions from the screen to my heart strings. please continue. thanks! :)
