    Previously…

Tina was in her living room listening to Sarah McLachlan’s songs wallowing in her sadness, she lit up some candles to somehow soothe her. Her mind wandered to the things that happened that day. It had started so great from the meeting to their lunch. She remembered how a smile broke on Bette’s face when the boy smiled at her and how so alive she looked when the brunette laughed at her silly jokes. But when the vision of Ed holding Bette’s hand and looking at her eyes lovingly entered her mind, her stomach made a violent turn, then she asked herself how long can she really wait for Bette.

Tina was startled by the thunder, it had been raining nonstop for over an hour that it seemed to her that the weather was somehow agreeing to what she was feeling at the moment. Then she heard a knock on the door ‘fucking Alice I told her not to come here I just wanted to be by myself tonight! What part of no she doesn’t understand’

Tina opened the door and said “Why are you here Alice, I’m feeling so bad right now I don’t want you here…” Tina didn’t finish what she was saying when she saw the beautiful pair of brown eyes that will forever haunt her “Bette?”

    1. Great chapter. So glad that Bette thought to go to Tina when she needed someone to talk about her situation and because in her heart, she needed Tina, not Ed. Hopefully, since we have a very different scenario for our girls, this Bette won’t be like the Bette on the show, aloof, selfish, taking Tina for granted and always thinking of what she needed or wanted, etc. Even though she loved Tina, it was in her own time and in her own way always for herself, not because Tina was a sweetie and loved her unconditionally and completely. Thanks for posting.

    2. In your portrayal of Bette, she is much more vulnerable and soft than the TV version. Of course, IC “had” to create drama for TV sake. TV Bette was in her aloofness was much more over the top. In the TV show, I usually felt that there was too much fluff and unnecessary characters rather than substance and forward progression of the story. But w/all its shortcomings, it was and still is the best series about the gay community. The actors always played their parts w/seriousness and conviction regardless of the incredible story lines.

    3. Oh my…..!!! SO much hope, but so much pain!!! I hope that Bette will cope with both situation, Ed’s affair and take a decision and Tina’s love. Thanks for update!!!!!!

    4. Amazing chapter, thank u for the update. Tina was great with Bette, and Bette it seems that she is really falling for Tina because subconsciously she came to Tina when she felt hurt and in need of love.

    5. Great chapter. So glad that Bette thought to go to Tina, because in her heart, she needed Tina. So glad her heart knew where to go even when she was to drunk and Tina was great with her. Tina was great with Bette. Bette it seems to be subconsciously falling for Tina. Loving this.
