She sat by a raging fireplace. It was always cold in the night in London. This old mansion was cold no matter what. It was as if it could hold the chill of a thousand years. But even this fire could not warm Helena Peabody. She had spent the past five years with Elizabeth Porter on her mind. Elizabeth, who was affectionately called Bette by all her friends and Babygirl by her sister, Katherine. Her relationship, which was undefinable, had ended abruptly and in a whirlwind. It was an argument Helena would never forget. It happened in the room that she was sitting in.
"Fuck you!" Helena cried out, "You’ll never understand what love means!"
"Love, Helena? Love?! Is love what makes me hurt every time I look at your face?! Is love what makes me what to rip my own hair out when I think about you..you…and her?"
"I apologized for that! And you act like you haven’t been with other women! I know about Tina, Bette."
"I know about you and Tina too! Jesus…don’t point fingers, when you’ve been with the same bitch!"
"Fuck it! It’s like I’m talking to a brick wall. I love you!" Helena tried to wrap her arms around Bette’s waist, but Bette pushed her off. It was more painful feeling Bette rip herself away from her than Helena could’ve imagined.
"I don’t want your love, Helena. Loving you has been the worst thing that’s ever happened to me." Her eyes went from deep brown to black, her anger evident. Bette left her there, standing in the middle of the living room. She cried, she didn’t remember for how long.
She sat there, flipping through her photo albums, throwing some of the pictures into the fire. A picture from 2002 of her, Alice, Dana, and Bette got tossed first. That was the night of the fight. She remember how beautiful Bette was, it was Alice’s graduation party. Peggy (Helena’s mother), Melvin (Bette’s father) and Maxine (Bette’s Mother), and Lenore (Alice’s mother) threw the party because they were relieved Alice finally graduated, as it took her two extra years to get out of college. They had fun that night, until Tina Kennard showed up. Tina, Bette’s biggest love and greatest mistake. Tina, Helena’s fling and biggest misfortune.

Hey ash I like this story, and well like all others I like TiBette but don’t knowmy fascination with B&H I think they are hot,,,,anyway, can’t wait for more!!!
Hey, this is really good. I love Belena and it’s a nice twist from the norm having Bette love Helena, before Tina yet settling for her.
You’ve cooked up quite the fascinating backstory in this one! I’m a Bette shipper too, but I think I draw the line at Jodi. PPS.
I like how you started this new story, but why did you have to end the chapter of the death of Dana…I hate that they actually wrote her out of the show…But great start! PPS!

I’m with Jb, I’m the the biggest Belena shipper (mainly because everyone seems to dump on Tina in them!) but I am an ashtucker! Nice start.. But Dana dying? :'( Why remind me?
Hey Ash you can’t seem to stop amazing us with new ideas and I must say I like them because they all involve B&H. I’m probably the biggest BeLena (and no I don’t mean myself here lol) fan and I can’t wait to see where you are going to take this. I’m with the othes though why let Dana die once again??
I am a big fan of the pairing of B&H as well as your writing. You have taken a very interesting turn of events on how they met. And I must say that I like it! I just hope a child isn’t concieved in this story with B&T, I never felt they were ready for it. As for Jodi, please don’t go there. That’s one character I can do without. And lastly why Dana, have we not suffered enough heartache from the show? But whatever route you choose to take this story I know it will be good. So please post soon, you got a winner here.

I am a huge Bette shipper too and I do not like Tina, not no way, not no how…so I like these fics with Bette with others in them…love Bette with Helena, and I can do Bette with Jodi IF Jodi treats her right, Bette with Candace was great…just no no no NO tina!!!
