    Leading Lady

OK so if you are looking for Apogee and or To Live Without You then I have bad news…they are not only unfinished but also ungettable for now (I know you ungettable is not a word because it sounds like I made it up but I didn’t) I’m sorry I can’t help but be a slave to my computer and she is down…maybe for the count I will work on putting the stories from the site and transferring them so patience it will come. For now here’s Leading Lady

    ClosetDana

The late day slid golden rods of sun through the thick glass doors that belonged to The Planet. Alice sat quietly nestled in the back corner of the coffee house that she called her second home. Alice’s eyes drifted briefly to the counter, a young dark-haired woman struggling with her drink order caught the writer’s attention. As dark-haired woman ran her hands through her hair, Alice couldn’t help but realize how much one simple motion could remind her of her Dana.

There wasn’t a day that went by that Alice didn’t miss Dana but lately the pain that Alice felt when she thought of her late best friend was replaced with an aching to be able to share that side of herself again. Since Dana’s death Alice had been in relationships, some of them serious, but the writer always held back or found herself simply running away. Alice was so trapped in her thoughts she didn’t notice the young woman at the counter walk away. The writer also didn’t notice Tina trying to get her attention a few tables in front of her. Alice began to grab her things to switch tables but Tina stopped her motioning that she was coming to the table.

"Alice, I’m glad you’re here, I need to talk to you." Tina unceremoniously dropped her briefcase on the table.

"What’s wrong Hollywood?" Alice leaned back and smiled as Tina grabbed a handful of folders shuffling through until she found her needle in the hay.

"I need a favor…We need interviews for Lez Girls, you can do them exclusive for OurChart, and it would just be the main characters…I’ll pay you and Max for the time…" Tina rambled as Alice tried in vain to interrupt, the writer finally settled on a deep breath that Tina had to take to stay conscious.

    1. So excited to see a new story from you, ClosetDana! Very interesting beginning here. I’m wondering about the mystery woman. You are writing Alice perfectly at this point — she is still grieving and just trying to keep moving forward with one foot in front of the other. I think the relationship with Lara is very realistic here, too. And Aggressive!Alice is pretty hot. I can’t wait to see where you take this and where Tina’s job offer fits in. Thank you so much!! And I have my fingers crossed that your computer woes will be short-lived.

    2. So, when I said I thought you should post this, I thought I might at least get a heads up before you did! A really great beginning and an idea you know I like. A lot. Keep going will you… there’s so many places this story can go. Looking forward to seeing more. Soon. With a heads-up this time. Please and thank you!

    3. OMG, it really is ClosetDana who I have been longing to see posting. I am sorry that you had trouble with your computer. Those damn computers. I hope you will be able to continue those 2 wonderful stories some time in the future. I did not have the opportunity to comment before except the last chapter of TLWY. I want you to know that as long as you write, I will be here to give my two cents worth. “Leading Lady” is she who I think she could be. A Dana look-alike on Lez Girls? I would be thrilled to read any characters that would resemble our beloved D. Since the woman seemed to have D’s mannerism. Her long lost twin? Till today, I still think about Danish daily. Would it have anything to do with the fact that I check this site religiously? lol. Hence, it is really terrific that you are back to give us more Danish stories. Right of the bat, I am glad that A & L were there to support each other in their own ways. I was never a fan of this ship but can understand the need and possibility. This first chapter is fascinating and well written. Thank you very much and looking forward to the rest of the story.

    4. YEY! New Danish story! I thought this was one short story. So I waslike wtf? is that it? But I guess this is a series. Which is really good. :) Agressive Alice. Heee- that’s hot. Alice’s state is very well-represented here. I like how you described Alice and Lara’s relationship. I see clearly that there is no chance for Alara, though I am kind of drawn to that ship. Hmmm….. it said Tina’s offer changed Al’s life. I wonder what can possibly happen? I can’t wait to read more! I’m very sorry that your com is down….. To live without you and Apogee are my favorite stories :) So I hope you can continue no matter how long it takes ;) Nway, I guess somebody resembling Dana will appear to Alice. I’m very curious, and keep posting! pps

    5. WOW CD what can I say but AWESOME start!!! I have to admit,I kinda teared up at the end when Al sat up and sighed, and said I know! I Miss DANA :( Can’t wait for u to post again! YAY

    6. Interesting start. I am intrigued as to where it is going to go. Is it an Alice and Lara story, an Alice and stranger story, Danish, etc.. I can’t wait to see where it goes.
