Let It Go
Bruce smiles at Tina, “Ah a pleasure, I’m so glad you came with Bette.”
With that they followed Bruce back through the maze of portable walls to a large vacant space which had an airy feel to it. Bette immediately likes the feel of this space and was rapidly becoming happy with the arrangements. Looking around Bette spent the next 2 hours with Bruce discussing how she would like her painting presented. Ever the anal one, Bette dictated to Bruce every detail from the order of the presentations to the type of light bulbs to be use to shine down on her paintings.
”Bruce I can’t thank you enough for the opportunity you are providing me here. Both Tina and I are really looking forward to tomorrow. Would you mind if I swung by in the morning to look things over again.” Bette inquired.
”No, not at all as a matter of fact I would love to go to dinner with you tonight if the two of you are available. I would like to just pick your mind if you wouldn’t mind.” Bruce offered.
Bette smiled over to Tina saying, “Sorry Bruce I’m afraid that as much as I would love to go to dinner with you and talk shop, my lovely wife has heard enough for one day so Ill have to take a rain-check. I do have a lot of ideas you may find useful here so we possible could get together some other time.”
With that Tina and Bette left the gallery feeling that they had done enough damage there today. Walking back to the hotel Tina starts ribbing Bette, “Oh Babe I thought I was going to have to grab both your hands so you wouldn’t ring that chick’s neck. It was either that or I was going to tell you to take your foot off the throttle of that freight train barreling down the tracks.”
Tina laughing hard now continued. “But of course she had that deer in the headlight look so I don’t think she could have gotten out of the way if she tried.”
Hearing this apt description left Bette laughing as hard as Tina. “You thought I was going to throw the hammer down huh?” Bette asked knowing full well she was. With that they were both laughing so hard they had to lean on each other for support as they walked back to their hotel.
