Against her better judgment, Tina decided to take Kate up on her offer. They went to lunch outside of West Hollywood—Tina didn’t want to be caught in her neighborhood out with a woman who wasn’t Bette. It wasn’t smart for to be out with Kate Arden in the first place, but now that she was, she wouldn’t dare do it in West Hollywood. That was Bette’s stomping ground.
“So, how’s the little lady? Though, I’m sure she’s not so little anymore.” Kate said, sticking her fork in her salad.
“She’s fine. The baby is progressing beautifully. Her pregnancy is so much more graceful than mine was when I was pregnant with Angelica.”
“Well, I’m glad that you two are getting along well. I mean for your sake.”
“What’s that mean?”
“Just, that I’d rather see you with me.”
“Kate, I’m—“
“We would’ve made a hot couple Tina.”
“God—“
“Really, Tina, I think we’d be hot. Please, just admit it.”
“I guess we’d be hot. But, I’m not in love with you.”
“Right, you’re in love with Bette.”
“I am.”
Tina stuck her fork in her mouth, pulling off a piece of lettuce from the utensil. She needed the food to be a barrier between her and Kate. Most women liked the attention from someone like Kate, but not Tina. Tina didn’t like those eyes on her. Her body was reserved for Bette. It was the property of her eyes, her fingers, her lips, and her tongue. It was not reserved for Kate.
Kate grinned at Tina, “What’s love’s got to do with anything, Tina? It’s about sex and pleasure.”
“Hedonistic. What about falling in love and wanting to be with someone for the rest of your life?”
“The rest of my life? Are you kidding?”
“I don’t want to think about my life alone and without someone to love me. I can’t imagine my life without Bette.”
Kate chuckled softly, “So naïve, you are Tina.” She opened her wallet and sat money on the table, “It’s on me. Call me, Tina.”

Bette never hated her job more than she did when she was pregnant. When she wasn’t pregnant, her job was fun. It was fulfilling and it was fun. But when pregnant, it was tiring and it was tedious.

I do hope that Bette has a change of heart and tell’s Tina about Jodi coming back to work at the school. Tina needs to tell Bette about her lunch with Kate. NO SECRETS PLEASE Thanks PPS

Very good chapter, but please let’s not do the secrets thing, they really don’t need that. Please let Tina tell Bette that lunch with Kate was a spur of the moment thing, not planned. Bette will take it to the extreme and harm their relationship. Not now please. I realize this is your story but, pretty please, with a cherry on top. PPS
Bette is too hormonal. No secrets. Tina needs to come home and tell Bette about her lunch and Bette needs to tell Tina about Jodi.
Oh, what a tangled web we weave………….This is what got them in trouble in the first place.
Come on, Tibette. Communicate! And I mean with each other, not with Kate and/or Jodi.

See Tina playing with fire and making Bette jump to the wrong conclusions. It’s never good to keep secrets, but then again if she really didn’t want Bette to find out she would have left instructions to not let anyone know where she was.

Not good. Tina should tell Bette that she had lunch and that Kate continues to make passes at her but that her heart only belongs to her wife. jodi is still not one of my favorites. Plus jodi does not do kids and with Bette pregnant ther is a kid around along with Angie. Maybe Kate and jodi should hook up with each other.
I really hope these two don’t keep secrets from each other.. NO SECRETS!!! But I think Tina didn’t tell Bette bc she wouldn’t think it wouldn be important. It was just a lunch..Anyways, can’t wait 2 see what happens next..Thanks!
