"I’m fine Dane, just hold me!" Alice said in a low and sleepily voice. Dana scooted closer and laid her head on Alice’s shoulder. Dana watched the film for a bit but she knew by the way that Alice was breathing she was asleep. Dana hit the mute button on the TV remote and moved closer to Alice. She lay with her head on her shoulder and her arm wrapped around her. Dana lay like that for god knows how long just looking up, watching her beautiful girlfriend sleeping. Dana felt herself getting tired after a while so she leaned up and kissed Alice on the lips.

"I love you, Al" Dana said as she lay back down with her head on Alice’s shoulder and fell asleep. Just as she was drifting off to sleep she heard Alice.

"I love you Dana!" Dana looked up to see Alice was still sleeping soundly and with a smile on her face she joined her in a peaceful night’s sleep.

Chapter 17

A storm swept over LA, the wind and rain was unbelievable. The rain was lashing down, it was still early in the morning but the streets were empty; most people in doors hiding from the bad weather. And that’s exactly where Dana and Alice were. They were still in bed but they could hear the rain batter off the window and the wind howling down the street. They were just so glad to be here all nice and warm in each others arms. Alice had a very goodnight’s sleep, she didn’t have any nightmares, and this morning she was feeling more energized and charged. Dana lay in bed happy to lie there with her arms wrapped tightly around Alice, she would have lay like this all day if it wasn’t for the fact that Michelle would be in and then they had the place and the meal to organise for their friends coming over. Dana ran over everything in her head what she had to do today.

"Ok I suppose we better get ours butts out of this bed if we are to be ready for Michelle coming in." Dana sighed. Alice laughed it was usually a task to get Dana to have a long lie in. Dana got up and slipped on a robe, she then went in and ran the shower and put all the shampoo and shower gel where Alice could reach it. Dana then went back and carried Alice to the shower. While Alice, Dana texted Shane asking her to bring the booze for tonight and Dana would give her the cash for it all. Dana then went in and helped Alice out of the shower and helped her get ready. Dana made breakfast and they sat at the table eating it and chatting. Alice was excited that everyone was able to make it. She thought they would all be busy but if they were they were putting that on hold to spend sometime with Alice at home. After breakfast Dana went and got showered and dressed while Alice watched the morning news. Once Dana was ready she and Alice talked about what Dana should cook tonight, Alice wanted Spaghetti Bolognese so Dana decided to make that and Tofu Ravioli with salad, and for dessert Chocolate Cake. Because of the weather outside Dana couldn’t get out for the shopping and she had planned to take Alice out for a bit today in the wheelchair to go shopping and get all the ingredients for the dinner but now she would just have to call the grocery store and see if they could deliver. She could always go out in the rain but she didn’t want to leave Alice in the apartment alone. Before Dana had the chance to call the grocery shops Tina came by with Angelica.
