    Lost & Found, Ch 4

(In Europe, Evangeline knocks on the door.  It opens after a few moments and an older but savvy and sensual woman with auburn hair and fine form answers.  She smiles warmly.)

    EVANGELINE-  “Bonsoir Charlotte.”

CHARLOTTE-  (She too has a bit of an accent…)  “Come in.”  (She enters and they proceed to the living room.)  “What’s wrong?  You look pensive.”

EVANGELINE-  “I might go to Los Angeles.”  (Charlotte motions for her to sit on the sofa, chesterfield, or couch…whatever it is they call it in your part of the world.  She sits and then Charlotte sits next to her.)

CHARLOTTE-  “Ah…you are worried about the young friend?”  (Evangeline shakes her head and sighs.)  “Lia…we are getting too old for this bullshit…just follow your heart for crying out loud.  You have no one to account to or to explain anything you do.  No justification required.  This is ridiculous.  Nothing has even happened between you really and she is just a dear friend right now.  You are already worrying.  You are stressing over ‘if they find out, will they find out, what will they think’…screw them.”

EVANGELINE-  “Charlie, I cannot risk everything for…”

CHARLOTTE-  “Lia you twit, why do you keep saying this silliness?  ‘Risk everything’…it’s nobody’s business.”

EVANGELINE-  “Easy for you to say, you are…what they call it?  Card-carrying lesbian.  I am not so identified.  For Peter’s sake…”

    CHARLOTTE-  “For whose sake?”

    EVANGELINE-  “What?”

    CHARLOTTE-  “Who is Peter?”

EVANGELINE-  “Is this not what they say?  The saying?  ‘For Peter sake?’”  (Charlotte starts laughing.)  “You laugh?  Fine, laugh at me…I’m hilarious.”

CHARLOTTE-  “Darling, the saying is ‘For Pete’s sake!’”

    EVANGELINE-  (Chuckling…)  “Oh whatever…”

CHARLOTTE-  (Puts her arm around Lia…)  “Mon ami, you know I love you but you really need to work this out.”

EVANGELINE-  (Smiling and being a little difficult with her friend…)  “So, even now, you are…how you say?  Putting the moves on me?”  (Charlotte starts laughing and then Evangeline shakes her head…)  “You’re right…I’m too old for this bullshit.  She’s so sweet and she has done so much work for me to assist with my North American projects.  She helped to organize the conference last year and she helps me at a moment’s notice when I have those articles I need research for and everything.  She’s really been there for me in my work for the foundation.  I don’t know what I would do without her.  She listens to me when I’m frustrated with things and her innocence mends my life weary perspective at times.”

    1. T, as a seasoned author, you certainly continue to have a way with words. This was just one example of the depth of your writing: ” Katie breathes intently, as her body communicates to her radiating heart the beginning of its tempestuous journey, with tingles and traveling sensations that bring all her points of passion into a systemic chorus awaiting the rhythm of the coming melody.” Damn, you are one of the few able to capture that infinite abyss. Keep it up! ;- ))

    2. I finally was able to sit down and read all four chapters at once. As the world of WeHo turns and as the feelings of want, need and disappointment surface. All the women seem lost or yearning for something just beyond their reach. Hopefully Bette and Tina can reach that goal of togetherness.

    3. Aunt Beatrice is from Phoenix? I thought she lived in Mayberry. But anyway, why not dine with Aunt Bea and THEN go to the reception? Or even drag her along? Let Jeff chaperon her.

    4. I got it, at times i think i’m blond (no offence ladies) Somehow i don’t think they will meet up tonight, but the planets are aligning for them, Merlin your the magican so wave your maqic wand!!!! opps please
