“Hey ladies.” Al greeted as she made her way down the aisle from her seat three rows up. “I snagged some refreshments from the trolley dolly. What’s your poison?” Al sat on the side of Tina’s lounge holding up the array of tiny bottles of liquor she had managed to secure in between her fingers.
Bette and Tina laughed. “If I have any of those, they will really be poison.” Bette commented, adhering to her strict rule of never drinking directly before a match.
“I thought of that.” Al said proudly. “Come with me.”
Bette and Tina acquiesced and followed Al to their pod where Dana and Helena were. Al put down the alcohol and picked up and proudly displayed the container of orange juice. “Always thinking of you, Bette…and you Dana.” She saved as she caught Dana’s indignant expression.
Bette snorted. “You mean you were thinking that your mix for your drinks could also work for Dana and I.”
Al grinned knowing she had been caught out.
“I’ll have one Al.” Tina said.
“Helena?” Al asked as she poured the drinks.
“Why not?” Helena said and then took the proffered drink.
Tina and Helena started to drink when Al stopped them. “Wait, wait. To our great time in San Francisco, Wine, Women and Tennis. May our queens reign supreme.”
“Cheers” the others toasted.
“Although,” Helena joked, “I think our queens are going to be up against some pretty touch competition if we’re going into the San Francisco.”
“Oh I think Shane will steer us clear of all that gender.” Tina said.
Bette looked curiously at Tina. “How do you know Shane anyway, Tina?”
Tina smiled softly as she recalled for Bette the first time she had met Shane.
She was just coming off court after practicing when she caught the tail end of a one sided argument and a sudden slap as one of her teammates slapped her boyfriend. Tina cringed in sympathy at the pain. Her teammate moved quickly away, leaving Tina with a closer look at the boy who she now saw was a girl. Quite a cute girl at that but with androgynous hair and clothes. As she approached the girl wiped her lipped and looked at Tina with a mix of embarrassment and acceptance.

We all know Bette is devoted to her marriage but she is not truely happy. She should make a move she will not be unhappy with the results.

Jealousy and Need make for lousy sleeping partners. Stop stalling and go get your woman, Bette. As for Marina and Helena… well now. Aside from that solving a problem by taking two rivals out of the running (because really, Jody no longer figures in the equation), those two could be *really* hot…. Um, yeah. Anyway, as per usual, I quite enjoyed that, Robi. Thanks for the post.

Poor tortured Bette. She better start making some decisions on her life if she expect to get Tina. I like the idea of Helena and Marina. Isn’t it time for a car accident for Jody in which he doesn’t survive? How about a obsessed fan doing him in. Anything to get rid of the snake.
Poor Bette is going crazy, and the sexual tension is driving me crazy. One of them better admit their feelings soon. Love this story! PPS!!

Hey Robi, So near and yet these two just can’t catch a break. Bette needs to end things with Jodi. He is just a waste of space and nasty with it. I want Bette and Tina to let go of their inhibitions and see where their love can take them. Good to see MArina back with the gang. More please. Your Loyal Fan.
