Love and Affection Chapter 13

Tina woke up and was fuzzy to where she was at.  She didn’t recognize where and then she smiled at the brunette who was holding her.  As she looked up at the ceiling she noticed that there was a ceiling painting of Van Gough’s starry night replica.  Tina marveled at the creativity that Bette had with art and how everything she did was so artistic and beautiful.  Bette’s eyes always told her more than words could say and her touch made her feel safe, she didn’t want it to end.

“Baby, you have tears in your eyes, you ok?”  Bette looked over at Tina, who was overwhelmed with emotion and vulnerable for reassurance of need from Bette.  Tina rolled towards Bette and nuzzled into her neck and let out a sob.  Bette pulled her in closer.

“Babe, its ok, what is it?”  Bette was soothing Tina by rubbing her back and running her fingers through her hair.  Bette could tell she was calming down by her breathing.  Tina looked up at Bette.

“You make me so calm and safe.  My sexual desires have never been this high and I..I..I..I am afraid it will go away or we will not fight for us to keep it going.”  Tina spoke softly and couldn’t look at Bette.  Bette too had this fear and always had since she was a child.  There were always leaving and going never fully understanding Bette’s need for love and support from people.  Bette always feeling the abandoning feeling like her birth mother did.  Bette never understood that part, she was brought up with wonderful people and she still had the fear of people leaving or her not being good enough for them.  Bette pulled in Tina closer and held her close to her.  Bette too had tears in her eyes and felt relief from them.  She finally felt that closeness and security she needed from someone, one that would never let her down or leave her because she wasn’t perfect.

“Tina, we will have something special.  Of course there will be squabbles and disagreements and we will work them out.  If we didn’t that would be just crazy poppy cock.  I love you like no other and we will build on our relationship as we go on.  I will do my best to make you happy and will you do the same for me?”  Bette soothed Tina’s creased brow and kissed her forehead as Tina nodded in agreement.
