LOVE AND PRIDE Chapter 57
Helena came in with a carrier full of shopping and a couple of books. It was Saturday lunchtime and she had enjoyed a couple of drinks and a meal with Shane and Carmen who were looking very content together. Everyone was meeting that night on campus for a vodka promotion night in one of the bars – it promised to be a great and wild night. Helena was looking forward to letting her hair down and getting as drunk as possible. She hadn’t let herself go for several weeks and tonight was the night that she rewarded herself for all her pure conduct. And just maybe there might be some cute woman who she could dance with and maybe get a kiss from.
She was just walking past the half open sitting room door when she heard a series of small moans – Oh God! She went into the kitchen and put her shopping away as loudly as possible slamming cupboard doors and turning the radio on so it blasted through the house. After brewing a pot of fresh coffee she poured it into a carafe and taking a packet of chocolate digestive biscuits, she headed upstairs to apply herself to an essay. She was just emerging from the kitchen when Bette emerged looking as dishevelled as she tended to get when she was making love to Tina. She was trying to uncrease her shirt and make her hair look less as if she had been out walking in a force ten gale.
“Hey there – didn’t expect you back so soon “
“Obviously “ Helena stopped and regarded her sister – red in the face and with the obvious signs that until a few minutes ago Bette had been buried in Tina’s pussy.
“Alice rang – she says there’s a promotion on tonight”
“Yeah “
“Tina fancies that so instead of going to the movies we thought we’d tag along – what time are you heading onto campus?”
“About 7 “
“Great – I’ll drive “
“Okay “
Helena went upstairs and closed the door of her room before carefully put the carafe of coffee, the empty mug and the packet of biscuits on her desk. She carefully selected a pillow from her bed and threw it will some accuracy at the window

They shouldn’t have sex in public rooms. However, I kind of doubt Helena kept all her romps to her room when Bette was just a virgin. How else did she walk in on them several times as was mentioned in an earlier chapter? Seems a little hypocritical. They need to limit sex to their rooms but Helena needs not to take all her frustrations about being alone out on the happy couple. I really hope this doesn’t lead to a fight. I’d like to see them resolve the issue in a more mature way.. as they are growing up. Love this story for how adorable B&T are.. PPS.

House rules should be followed, but Helena needs to sort this out herself. It’s no one’s fault if she feels lonely except for her own.
Bette and Tina are being a bit insensitive here- house rules are house rules–but, no one can make you feel uncomfortable but yourself..and i don’t like that helena thinks that Tina has ‘control’ over Bette, it sounds like she thinks tina is manipulative..helena’s gotta own her own feelings and grow up a little bit..its most likely that she deep down envies what B & T have..not despise it like she tells Shane..love this story Ally, thanks for posting!!
Yep, they are being inconsiderate. But, Helena also needs to get some! I bet if she was getting it on a regular basis, this might not be as much of an issue. Great chapter, Ally!!!
Really no one should be having open sex if multiple people live in the house.
No, what really scares Helena is that little sis doesn’t need her anymore. She should be happy for Bette, and instead she is being immature and selfish. I understand the house rules and they should be adhered to as much as possible, but this discussion should have included Bette as well as Tina. Thanks for the post Ally!
Excellent as always. The last sentence summed up Helena’s problem in a nutshell.
Helena’s lack of companionship may be adding to her distress, but the issues are really two fold revolving around the fact that she and Bette have a quasi-sisterly relationship. On the one hand Helena simply misses the contact she and Bette once had, on the other, it IS uncomfortable (at least for most of us, let’s not go where it ISN’T uncomfortable) to catch family in the act. Bette and Tina should stop acting like it is solely their abode, and Bette, if she values her relationship with Helena, should rise above her besottedness to connect with Helena every now and again. And Helena should go get a little fun for herself outside the usual circles. A life that includes the world beyond the confines of the gang would probably benefit each member of said gang.
Well i think is so exciting but I see Bette and Helena heading down that drak road to hating each other again. Helena has every right not to want to see her sister screwing a girl that she originally had a thing for and sinc they did agree to certain rules before all moving in together Bette and Tina are being a little selfish. And what is Tina’s deal? She knows that she and Bette are in the wrong and yet she still tries to blame it on Helena being lonely. Even if Hels was hoking up every day of had a steady gf it would make it any better that Bette and Tina are having sex all over the house. I feel for Helena b/c she is in such a tough position b/c Bette is so head over heals for Tina that no matter what Helena says to her Bette will take it negatively. And I think Helena’s greatest fear is losing her sister to her on going infatuation w/ Tina. PPS!
I agree Helena. Bette and Tina is inconsiderate to Helena.
Tina a tiny bit defensive – I’d say she could have been more sympathetic but I know the drama queen is setting us up for something. and you just write so damn well.
I agree with Helena. House rules need to be followed. The fact that Tina already knew what Helena was upset about, confirmed the fact that they broke their promise. Not too mention Helena is lonely and there is nothing worse than being lonely and being surrounded by two horndogs going at it like rabbits. Ciao.
whoa…not really appropriate talking to T in a ‘public toilet’ methinks…Hel should have spoken to both of them at home …Bette could get really upset & mad with Hel now because she is certainly & with reason protective of her woman…did Hel need the living room for some reason at that precise time that they were making out???…now the spontaneity of their love making will be jaundiced by Hel’s hissy-fit which I suspect may be because she ain’t getting any!!!! Perhaps T & B should live alone…stop helping Hel with her homework and just let her get on with her own life mistakes and all!!!!Yeah yeah I’m totally pro-T and B here…PPS
the last sentence?? to me that shows this is Hel’s problem!!! B4 T Hel was in-charge…B was the virgin and insecure and it didn’t bother Hel one iota!!! Hel has always envied Bette her loving relationship with Tina yet Hel doesn’t want what Bette has?? or is she just saying that??? & maybe when she finally does fall in-love she will feel like such a dork for being so small-minded & niggly??? True love even just watching it usually makes us ‘happy’ not friggin miserable… imho…Hel has been a problem thru most of this story…she needs to get a life!!!! and as Bette/Tina said ‘we didn’t expect u home so early’ and why did she pointedly ask T if they were having ‘oral sex’ on the sofa? does she need graphic details??? she should have a bit of couth. I am sure she is rich enuff to have a tv/stereo etc in her own room…and if she expects them to make out in their rooms…wouldn’t she hear them thru the walls??? Oh shit get her a lover and soon b4 she spoils the glow of B and T’s romance. PPS

I agree with Helena and the fact that Tina knew what was bothering Helena proves he point. Yes this bothers Helena more because she is not involved with anyone, but B&T are breaking the House Rules and more importantly a promise and agreement. B&T need to straighten up and hold up their part of the agreement. PPS :o)
