Love me Tender – Ch46
a few days later..in the evening
Bette could see Tina was logged onto the internet and was writing to someone; she wondered whether it was Rachael. That situation had never been resolved. She was tempted to read over Tinas shoulder but knew that didnt send a message of trust. She cleared her throat Are you nearly finished T?
Tina looked around Yeah..Im just writing to Rachael.. giving her some comments on her last story
Bette looked Tina in the eye and considered what she should say, she settled on Its a shame I never got to meet her.
Yeah ..well..maybe it was for the best..If it makes any difference I sent her a photo of us. She was very complementary about you and Rosie.. I think her exact words were – Wow..*****..Wow .
Bette laughed Very articulate for a writer..
Tina minimized the email for a moment and clicked on a file on her desktop Here ..take a look ..she sent this back to me..
Bette looked over Tinas shoulder, took in the couple with their arms around each other So shes..
Umm..yeah.. straight and marriedher husband cheated on her and she was confused.. running away ..looking for someone or something .. I guess she saw something in my writing that made her reach out to me..
So youve told her about us? Bette asked quietly.
Some of it.. not all ..the rest is between you and me..OK? Tina looked up into Bettes eyes and its history
Bette thought for a few moments Im a bit confused, didnt you tell me that you met her in an online ***** writers group?
Yes..but thats the thing with being online – people arent always who you think they are.
But..couldnt you tell somehow? Bette asked, her confusion evident.
Tina looked up at Bette Bette..shes a woman ..she writes about things from a womans perspective – you dont think theres a ***** style do you?
I guess not.. Bette shrugged I just thought youd be able to tell somehow when she started writing to you..
I knew we had similar interests and I thought Id like her if we met..and maybe she was so pissed off with her husband that she was interested in experimenting. You know what Shane says .. people are straight until theyre not.. Tina held out her hands in a gesture meant to covey- look at me for instance.
Bette straightened up Well ..I guess Im glad you could help her.. she started to walk away What do you feel like for dinner?
I thought we might have a chicken Caesar salad ..you did say you wanted to learn how to cook didnt you?
Bette nodded half-heartedly.
Well this is something we can do together and its fairly easy
OK.. Bette nodded. She paused for a moment then she asked Are you writing to anyone else I should know about?
Tina got up and placed her hands on Bettes shoulders and looked deep into Bettes eyes Babe, theres no one you ever need to worry about.

All 3 of story today is very good and it’s all about Bette and Tina is was awesome, they are a perfect couple, and lovely. I just love to see B-T or read their story. Well thank you for write all of this story. Keep in touch, you do a good job!!!
I’m glad you like the B&T that I’ve created with this story – I am trying to show how Bette is slowly realising she needs to change her priorities ..but I recognise this takes time and reflection on her part – she also has a difficult balancing act to perform – to spend the time T&R need with her and yet to also support them financially in a way she thinks they all deserve to be supported.
I must say I’m a little confused by all your comments re welcome back (but I appreciate them!!)– did you miss the chapter I posted on Friday my time? If so, you may want to go back and read it as the next chapter I post may seem out of context otherwise.
Once again.. thanks for taking the time to read this and comment – I do appreciate it..
Hi Oz..I did read that chapter before reading all the 3 chapters you posted tonite..
I guess I was late in posting there and so I thought I post here and welcome you back..Better late than never right… :)
I got you there..confused..ha ha…Don’t be…
To make up for it..I love the Chapter 43 as it shows how Tina realises her child life’s could change in a blink of an eye and she has to plan ahead to make sure she is fine and got what she needs…Bette’s reaction to this is so normal as how a parent should react…Yes, I agree sometimes when we see the catalogues..we can’t really figure out what half of the things are for..And we always buy them so as to make sure our child got everything they need but really they don’t.. :)
Tina’s concern for Bette well being is so touching and I love that. Rosie leaving her nest and all Tina’s saftey measures really had Bette concerned…
Oh! and I can’t never imagine Bette doing manual labour.. :)
Oz..keep on writing and I hope I clear your confusion with my latest post…
Looking forward to your next chapter…
Three wonderful chapters to come back to after a crazy weekend. The previous chapter with Bette and Rosie was so warm and tender. I really love seeing that side of Bette that you’ve created in this story. It’s coming along wonderfully and I eagerly await your next update!! 5 stars!!
The Rachael chapters should have been labeled ‘L’Ennui’ for real. You showed us that marriage is work and children command a lot of time and attention – it’s hard to strike a balance. I only wish you had pursued this angle for more chapters. I know your computer crashed as your were writing this portion. Don’t be afraid to go deeper into the details. Some of us like the texture that you provide. Really – I know there were repercussions from Tina’s confession about the ‘other woman’.
Thanks for posting three chapters in one night!
that was really nice …..good updates…..keep them comin!
Thanks for the 3 in 1 and for allowing life to be good for our favorite couple.
Hey..thanks for all these comments – the next chapters are coming soon!!
Thank goodness No more rachael, glad that Bette seems to understand. Thanks for posting.
Wow Oz..three chapters in one nite…What a welcoming back present for us..:)
U should leave more often then…Just kidding..ha ha
I love your story..I will sum up all the 3 chapters’ comments here…
I love the way you describe the bond that Tina and Bettes shared as a couple and also as a family…Tina recognised her priority as a mum and always put her daughter’s affairs before her work which is so her..
The way Bette tries to balance her job and her home is admirable….The closeness she shared with Rosie with the pictures is so touching and for Tina to find the way they are on the couch is so picture perfect..It really moved me…How I wish I could take that picture….
And finally, I’m glad that you tied up the loose plots…Now I know what happen to Rachael…Thanks..
And the last line while Tina looked deep into Bette’s eye,“Babe, there’s no one you ever need to worry aboutâ€, really made me believe that Tina and Bette do belong to each other just like Kit say….”You’ve got a marriage like God chose you two to find each other, and that’s a love you never wanna let go.”
Oz keep on writing..cos I love your take on Tina’s and Bette’s family life…:)
As always 5 stars from me…
I love the ‘lesbian writing style’ line! This dialogue between them is really great! Thanks for another excellent update.
