Magic In The Air! Ch 15

    Chapter 15

    Bette appeared in the doorway.

"Holy shit. You scared me." Tina said.

    "He’s right." Bette said.

    "I know." Tina said.

Bette sat on the bed next to Callie.

"She’s so powerful yet so weak." Bette as leaned over and kissed her daughter on the cheek. "When she was little I would her sleep for hours on end. Especially when Lance was away. She slept in my bed every night cuddled up to me the way she is to you right now." She said.

"Is it strange that I love her as if I carried her and given birth?" Tina asked.

"No. I feel the same for Jack." Bette said.

"This is all so much to take in." Tina said.

"It’ll get better. I hope." Bette said.

    "You Hope?" Tina asked.

"I hope they have to grow up and know what its like to have a normal life before the magical world and their wars find them." Bette said.

"Is that why you brought them to the mortal world?" Tina asked. Bette nodded her head yes.

"Yeah. Lance wanted to send Callie to boarding school here. To your school." Bette said.

    "Really?" Tina asked.

"The plan was always to send her there next school year. I haven’t told her yet but if there is a spot open in the dorm next year she’s moving in." Bette said.

"You don’t have to do that, now that you are here." Tina said.

"Yes I do. If she doesn’t go there she has to go somewhere else. In order to rule she has to go away to school. Father has her a place reserved for them in England for when they turn 14. I’m hoping to be able to argue to let her stay here with everything that has happened. She and the boys have to be together and with us." Bette said with tears in her eyes.

"Bette we’ll do whatever it takes to keep them together and with us." Tina said.

"I can’t ask to promise that." Bette asked.

"Why not, they are mine too. Its my destiny." Tina said.

"Because it may mean running and living on the run." Bette said.
