Saturday – the day of the Re-Grand Opening
“Hello”
Mel: Hey Shane!
“Hey, What’s up?”
Mel: How is everything coming along?
“Well, almost done setting everything up. All the paint is dried up from yesterday. It’s looking really good. Where are you?”
Mel: I’m on my way over there right now with Shay and Harmon. We stopped to get you your double shot espresso.
“You are a mind reader!”
Mel: Shane! It’s 9am right now. You’ve been up since 4am yesterday morning. It doesn’t take a genius. And plus, I know how groggy you get with out your double shot.
“You know me too well. Hey, I gotta go, but I’ll see you guys when you get here. I love you guys!”
Mel: We love you too sweety! Bye!
“Bye!”
What to do what to do? The place is looking good. Real good. It looks like a completely new WAX. I got all my equipment set up, everything is in order. The cameras are almost set up to keep an eye on the place. Sound system… check… what else. Mel took care of the munchies for tonight. The bar area is set up. Beep! Beep! I look up and see Shay, Harmon and Mel with my double shot. “Hey you guys!”
Shay: Wow Shane! This is cool!
“You like it?”
Shay: Yeah. Can I skate?
“Sure, but put on your pads and helmet first. And here!”
Shay: Cool! You got this board for me?
“Yep! Mel designed it though. You like it?
Shay: Yeah! Thanks! You guys are the best.
He gives Mel and I a big hug and heads off to skate. “Shay, helmet and pads!” He gives me a nod and then smiles and puts on his safety gear.
Harmon: Me skate!
“Sorry baby. You’re gonna have to hang around with me for now.” The little guy pouts and I just smile. He always does that when he doesn’t get his way. Just like his mother.
Mel: It looks really good Shane!
I hold Harmon in my left hand as we stand there and admire our new shop. Her arms wrapped around my waist and my arms around her shoulders. We stare like proud parents at our new baby. “So partner… What do you think? You ready for tonight?”

I’m not really sure what’s going on. I thought I might now but now I don’t think I do anymore. lol. Maybe Mark and Mel are married and um… I have no idea. I can’t wait to find out everything. I hope Shane and Carmen can have a talk that doesn’t involve yelling and hitting cuz pretty soon they’re gonna kill each other.
