Jacqui and Amy had just returned from their honeymoon. It was their first day back home. Jacqui was sitting up in bed as Amy was getting ready.

“Baby why are you going into work, your not due back till tomorrow?” Jacqui asked

“Because I left Jess in charge for 2 whole weeks with no contact to me, my instincts telling me I should be worried” Amy explained

Jacqui laughed “Your terrible…she’s your best friend and has been doing the job for about 10 years!”

“And she still doesn’t do it right” Amy smirked

She fixed her shirt and put her earrings in. “Name badge? What did I do with the thing?”

“It’s in your car” Jacqui yawned getting out of bed

“Beeper and phone…pen…done ready okay you’re doing well this morning Amy considering you’ve only had 5 hrs sleep”

“Babe you really need to stop talking to yourself” Jacqui smirked

“Uh huh” Amy turned so she was facing Jacqui “I love you like a super big much and I’ll see you tonight”

“Love you too” Jacqui smiled



Amy walked into the centre….

“Amy thank god your back!” Jess sighed “Stress is an understatement”

“What’s up?”

“Were 2 staff members down, the school groups are taking up millions of my time, we have an audit tomorrow and the dude won’t speak to anyone other than the manager, Paul is sick, there is only 3 off us in including you”

“Brilliant” Amy said sarcastically “Who else is here?”

“Chloe” Jess said before leaving again

Amy put her stuff in the office and then went to the reception.

“Hi Emma is their lots for me?” Amy asked hopeful she would say no

“Well Jess has tried to get through your mail but she’s been run of her feet and you have a few emails to sort as well” Emma explained “Nothing to strenuous”
“Thanks” Amy smiled “Not going to lie and say its great to be back”

Emma laughed “How’s married life?”

“Great loving it” Amy smiled leaving


A tall man in a suit approached the desk.

“Hi I’m Mark Smith I’m here to do the audit I’m looking for Amy Kennard Porter” He stated showing his name badge.

“Sure hold on” Emma smiled getting up and leaving the desk


Bette walked into Nathan’s room; He was sitting on his drum kit playing away. He took his head phones off when Bette entered.

“You all packed Nathan?” Bette asked

“Mama im only going to be next door” Nathan laughed

“Yes well I guess that’s a fair point” Bette smiled “As far as I know Amy is still at work so it will just be you and Jacqui till she gets home”

“Yeah that’s cool” Nathan yawned as he put his sticks down and turned his drum kit off.

“I love that kit, it’s so much better than the noisy one”

“It’s ok for practicing” Nathan stated “But you can’t beat the one you got me at Christmas that one is just the best!”

“So your going to be on your best behaviour…don’t give Amy and Jacqui any stress or anything” Bette stated

“Mama really I’m 12 not 6″ Nathan stated

“Yes that’s why I’m stating it, I don’t want any bad reports from school whilst were gone”

“As if you’re totally abandoning me for 2 weeks to go to Paris, that’s just totally unfair”

“Nathan the last time me and your mama have been away on our own was possibly 26 years ago” Tina laughed

“Ok maybe you deserve a light break but not two whole weeks” Nathan stated

As much as he wouldn’t admit it he was going to miss them he was a mummy’s boy and everyone knew it.

“We love you and I’ll phone you every night” Tina said pulling him into a big hug

“Yes make sure you do…And I was texts before I go to sleep and when I wake up” Nathan explained

“Off course” Bette smiled

Bette and Tina dropped Nathan next door and made they’re way to the airport.


Just after 11pm Amy walked into the house.

Jacqui and Nathan turned

“Baby you look exhausted” Jacqui said getting up

“I am” Amy yawned kissing her wife softy “I haven’t stopped all day” She turned to Nathan “Hi buddy you ok?”

“Yeah Mum and Mama Left the key for the house it’s on the unit in the kitchen…And they said they would phone”

“Ok” Amy smiled “I’m going for a bath, then to bed”

“I’ll go run it for you” Jacqui smiled

“You’re too good to me”

Amy took her jacket off hanging it up along with her keys; she put her bag down and sat beside Nathan. “The centre needs changes made”

“What like?” Nathan asked

“I have a list a mile long Nate honestly” Amy explained “All staff need new ID badges and he wants radios for staff, He wants to see attendance registers for every group, senior workers have to be appointed”

“You’ve lost me” Nathan smiled “Confused.com”

“Official stuff” Amy laughed

“That’s your bath ready babe”

“Thank you” Amy said getting up and making her way upstairs

Jacqui and Nathan continued to watch CSI.
“Right I’m off to bed, think I’m going to go with Amy to the centre tomorrow” Nathan stated

“Yeah well I’m back it work anyway buddy so I think that was the plan” Jacqui smiled

Nathan hugged her then headed to his room.

Jacqui turned everything off and went upstairs, Amy still wasn’t in bed.

She went into the bathroom and smiled at the sight of Amy sound asleep in the bath.

Jacqui unplugged the water that was now cold and gently shook Amy. “Baby”

Amy opened her eyes and then rubbed them “I didn’t did I?”

“I’m afraid so” Jacqui laughed “I told you not to go in to work”

“I’m glad I did considering everything that needs done” Amy said getting out the bath and wrapping a towel around herself.

They both got changed; Amy quickly dried her hair and then crawled in beside Jacqui.

“So you’re going to be really busy this week?” Jacqui asked

“As far as I know yes” Amy yawned “But I’m not going in till lunch time tomorrow so that gives me some chill time”


Bette and Tina were sitting on the plane…

“I miss the kids already is that bad?” Bette asked

“No not at all I was thinking the same thing” Tina laughed resting her head on Bette’s shoulder

“I worry that Nathan is going to be a right little devil” Bette explained

“Amy can handle him better than us” Tina laughed “She knows all the tricks and if she doesn’t Jacqui will”

Tina laughed “That’s true…them two will make great parents one day”

“Amy’s came on such a long way these past couple of years im so proud of her” Bette smiled

“She’s one strong person she takes it off you” Tina explained “I fall apart when things get hard”

“I have my moments too” Bette said “I have a wife that I need to stay strong for because when she’s strong I’m strong”

Tina smiled and leaned up for a kiss “I love you Bette”

“I love you too T more than anything and that’s never going to change”


The next day…

“Oh look who’s back” Aiden smiled “And a married woman”

Everyone in area clapped, Jacqui blushed “Yeah totally no need for that Aiden”

“Buddy I have missed you” Ashley smiled putting her arm around her

“Apparently it’s been shit without you” Spencer laughed

“What she means there is no-one’s been here to bicker with her or rip the piss out people with” Taylor laughed

“Well what can I say I’m just that good” Jacqui smiled

“How’s Amy?” Spencer asked

“Well she went back to work yesterday and came home last night dead on her feet, Left her sleeping this morning” Jacqui told them “She works too hard”

“She should teach you a few tips” Ashley muttered

“I resent that!” Jacqui said shocked

“I was joking….Gees!”

“Yeah right then” Jacqui huffed “Okay going to get changed”


Nathan just opened his eyes he picked up his watch showing 11am, He got up dressed and went to get some breakfast. Amy was still asleep and he didn’t want to wake her.

He poured himself some coco pops turned the TV on and made himself comfy.

Jess walked in. “Oh hey Jess…Amy’s still sleeping” Nathan answered not taking his eyes off the TV.

“How did you know it was me?” Jess asked

“You don’t knock and Jacqui is so much quieter than you” Nathan explained

Jess merely smirked shaking her head.
“I’m going to wake her” Jess stated

“Your funeral” Nathan replied

Jess made her way upstairs she opened Amy and Jacqui’s bedroom door. Amy was lying awake.

“Hey buddy” Jess smiled “It’s like half 11″

“I know I’m awake I’m just lacking the energy to move” Amy smiled

Jess jumped on the bed beside her and lay down making herself comfy.

“I have redbull in the car for you” Jess smiled

“I knew you were my best friend for a reason” Amy laughed “I missed yooooou!”

Jess hugged her “I missed you so much more…Can’t believe your married now…when my going to be an aunty!”

Amy looked at her “Your funny!”

“I’m serious?”

Amy got out of bed “I have no intentions in having kids for a while yet”

Jess laughed “When did my fabulous aunties leave?”

“Last night…they dropped Nathan off here about 8 I think” Amy yawned “Jess I don’t want to play today…I’m so tired”

“Well we have a full team today so do the meetings then go home” Jess explained

“I think you should drive I totally cant be arsed, it’s far too much effort” Amy said pulling out her clothes and going into the bathroom.

“I’ll drive if you want I don’t mind” Jess said getting up “I’ll go tell Nathan to get organised”


The Centre…

Amy and Jess walked in with their cans of red bull and sunglasses on.

“Uh oh double trouble “Paul laughed

“Are you hangover?” Melissa asked

“Worse…I’m sleep deprived” Amy laughed taking her sunglasses of “And I have lots of exciting news for you all”

“I can sense the sarcasm” Chloe smirked

“Is she that apparent” Jess laughed sitting at her desk

“The Audit guy is now my worst enemy” Amy stated sitting on a chair and taking the list out her bag.

“I suppose we all better get comfy” Jess laughed

“First thing is we all need new ID Badges with photographic ID, And Also he wants us all to have beepers at all times”

“That’s not so bad” Paul stated

“Oh it gets better give me time….Next thing all rooms will have radios fitted and reception is getting brand new CCTV and alarms fitted”

“I have 4 new members of staff starting next week, I don’t know who they are, what they do or where they’re from I just know im getting them free of charge and the youth parliament will pay them rather than it coming out my budget”

“Good times” Chloe smiled “So we won’t lose any hours?”

“No not at a1l!”

“Paul, Chloe and Mellissa you’re all now senior workers so you’ll be pleased to know your wage will go up, however you will be doing a lot of extra work, sorry”

“And lastly being a married woman now” Amy smiled “Jess will be doing a lot of extra hours so any problems and stuff when im not around goes to Jess”

“Cant wait” Jess coughed

“Oh oh and before I forget the sports hall is being painted this week so it’s out of bounce”

Amy stood up “I suppose I better go reply to all these stupid messages”

“Well you would live it up in Spain for 2 weeks” Paul laughed

“Sun, beaches, no stress, gorgeous wife…why did I come back?” Amy joked

A few hours passed, Amy sighed looking at the clock showing 5pm. She got up making her way into the office.

“Jess can I borrow your car?”

Jess handed her the key’s “What’s up?”

“Nothing can you watch Nate for an hour, I won’t be long” Amy asked

“Course I can” Jess smiled “Tell Jacqui I said hi”

“How did you know?”

“I’m just that good” Jess laughed

“I miss her a little ive not really had a cuddle in a whole 2 days” Amy pouted

“You’re sad” Paul laughed

“Im just madly in love with your sister Paul and Jealousy is a bad thing”


Amy walked into the hospital and over to the desk.

“Oh wow that’s the first ive ever seen you walk in here with a smile on your face” Aiden joked

“Please tell me my wife is free”

“Lucky for you she is! She’s just went up to her office to do some paperwork”

“Yeah that’s so not going to happen, her and paperwork don’t go” Amy laughed

“BEHAVE!” Aiden winked

“Always” Amy said crossing her heart and winking at him


She knocked on Jacqui’s door


“COME IN!” Jacqui shouted as she looked up at the door

Amy walked in…

“Hey baby” Jacqui smiled “Is everything okay?”

“I have a confession” Amy smiled walking over and sitting on Jacqui’s knee

“I missed you and I wanted to see you” Amy confessed

“You’re so cute” Jacqui laughed kissing her softly

Amy got up “Well I’ve seen you now so I can go”

Amy smirked walking to the door; Jacqui got up and raced her to the door.

“I don’t think so 3 second visits don’t work for me” Jacqui smiled locking her office door and closing the blinds.

“Oh really” Amy smiled

“And besides im free for the next hour” Jacqui explained wrapping her arms around Amy’s waist.

“Well I suppose I could squeeze a few more minutes in” Amy smiled putting her arms around Jacqui’s neck as she leaned in for a kiss

“Just a few more?” Jacqui asked as she pinned her up against the door

“Ok baby I’m not going to lie, your turning me on a super big amount here and if I don’t leave were going to have sex in your office and…”

“That would be a bad thing because” Jacqui cut in kissing Amy’s neck

“Because…well because…erm…because”

Jacqui unbuttoned Amy’s jeans

“Ok forget the because” Amy stated as she quickly pushed Jacqui towards the sofa.

On cue Jacqui’s door went…

“You have got to be bloody kidding me” Amy sighed getting off her wife.

Jacqui got up straightened her shirt and opened the door.

“Hello!” Ashley smirked “You’re super going to hate me, but we have an emergency on route”

“Your right I hate you!” Jacqui snapped

She turned to Amy “Baby im really sorry”

“Uh huh…Ashley ever so glad to bump into you!” Amy smiled

“I’ll make it up to you” Jacqui smirked

“You so better!” Amy said kissing her softly “I love you”

Jacqui turned her attention back to Ashley “THANKS!”

“Anytime” Ashley said trying not to laugh “On the bright side at least you weren’t in full swing of things”

“Are you being serious!”

“What’s up?” Spencer asked

“Your idiot of a fiancé just spoiled my time with my wife” Jacqui said going into the locker room

Spencer laughed “Bet Amy was amused”

“She didn’t look overly thrilled” Ashley laughed

“You’re cruel!” Aiden said between laughs “Don’t worry Jacqui you’ll get your own back”
