    Bette and Tina meet again

    Chapter Thirty-Two

     

    Tina pulled into their driveway. She turned the engine off, tilted her head back against the headrest then closed her eyes trying to replay everything that her friend Katherine Palmer had told her at the community center. Everything shocked her– Katherine’s dark and sad past, her possibly being Peter’s missing mother and the fact that she’s Bette’s older half-sister, Kit Porter.

    She wasn’t mad at her for not telling the truth right away, Tina understood that for someone who had experienced such horrible past it would need huge courage to tell it to another person. If she was in Katherine’s shoes it would take a great amount of trust before she could expose herself to someone else. In almost a year that they had known each other, she and Katherine had become so close and comfortable with each other that they were ready to share some personal things that only true friends would do.

    Katherine also told her that she already knew about her and Bette and that was the reason why for several occasions her sister “Elizabeth” wasn’t always available in every dinner that they had together because she didn’t want to complicate things and also in respect to Bette’s relationship with Sarah Williams. When Katherine came to Shawnee, Kansas, she wanted to start with a clean slate and so she used her mother’s last name, Palmer. At that time, Katherine wasn’t ready yet for other people to know about her previous life and bringing Bette might only spur questions as to why her last name was different from her sister’s which was Porter.

    Tina opened her eyes, she felt a pinch in her heart when she looked at the art house, she realized how much sadness and hardships her friend Katherine had endured in the past just to survive and thought that her son, Peter also had gone thru some great difficulties even at such a young age. Life can be cruel sometimes but she was glad that at least heaven had found a way for the mother and son to meet again and the blonde knew that she would play a huge part in making that happen.

    The hazel-eyed beauty turned her gaze to Katherine’s house and her heart started to race faster. Yes, life can be cruel and yet funny sometimes because the only woman who truly captivated her, the only person whom she totally surrendered herself to and the one who broke her heart into million pieces would again collide her world and this time she didn’t know how it was going to be.

    3. What a nice Christmas gift for us. Thanks! I hate to see Sam hurt, but I’m still pulling for Bette and Tina to find their way back to each other. Is Peter going to be at party as well? Can’t wait to see what happens there. PPS. :)

    14. totally agree with skycaptain. this chapter was way too short. i like how tina is sticking (or at least trying) to her commitment even though i am a tibetter. It’s hard to forget the earlier part of the story when Bette chose Sarah over Tina
