My fading life
The Girl I Will Never Forgot
I don’t know if you believe in love at first sight or not, to me it seemed something unrealistic but now I think anything is possible when it come to love. After many years of happiness and hope, my life is fading away just because of this one girl. Girls seemed to be something that was really important in life, without them, you wouldn’t be able to be here. No matter who you are, what you are, and how you feel, girls will always be there to let you tell them your story or stay by your side and care for you.
This is how my life started to fade away….
I was hoping this new exhibition would be as good if not better than the previous one when on the opening night all the important people in the LA art world came to pay me a visit. I just had a horrible year with my girlfriend cheating on me, so I was trying to get back my self-esteem, stay out of trouble with women, and go on with life. I wasn’t thinking of hoping to meet someone new, I was going to have a busy time with lots of new opportunities and start my own life again, alone.
But faith had decided differently…something that was unimaginable, unbelievable, and fateful. After all these years, I thought that I would never be like this; that the look of one person would hit me so hard, would sweep me of my feet so fast and instantly, but it came to this night, where I met her on the opening night of the new exhibition of my art gallery. Five years of being in a steady relationship and then being dumped from one day to the next, this lady just appeared out of nowhere on the arm of one of my best buyers. I had never seen her with him before but here she was. He didn’t seem to notice my instant attraction for her, I did try hard to disguise it but Alice noticed it immediately. I had this feeling that I knew her, although I was sure I had never met her before. He introduced her as his girlfriend and I repeated her name, shook her hand. She looked in my eyes, smiled at me and I smiled back. Inside, my heart missed a beat and this is where my depressing life started.

This is a lovely start but it would be nice if you would finish your other stories before starting another. Just finished re-reading A New Life and realized you never gave us Bette’s decision.
Hey girl nice to see back…I thought you vanished from the earth LOL. Wow this was really deep and as from falling in love at first sight…people say that’s lust, well it’s not. I experienced it 39 years ago with the person I’m still with, so it definitely exists. ‘t Is wel niet meer zoals het zou moeten zijn, maar toch zo is het gegaan. Don’t forget to post soon, I loved it!!
