My One Special One – Chapter 32
My One Special One – Chapter 32
Previously…
“You’re right, but oh, my God, Bette, my mother’s a Lesbian!” She started giggling which started Bette laughing. “If anyone had asked me years ago what did I think I’d be doing ten years in the future, the last thing on my mind would be that I’d be sitting on the sofa with my female lover talking about my mother and her female lover. Fate and Destiny must be having quite a yuk about this, don’t you think?”
“I bet they are, Tina, I bet they are.”
Their time in the café on the outskirts of heaven always seemed to fly by as they checked in on their most recent – and quickly becoming, their most favorite couple.
“We’ve certainly given their lives an extra injection of surprise, haven’t we, dear?” Fate wistfully remarked.
“Ah, that we have…but you know along with the good comes…” Destiny quietly said.
“Yes, yes, I know full well the path we’ve given them will be peppered with some trials. We’ve taken such a liking to these two…perhaps we could dispense with all that…just this once?” Fate asked with a bit of pleading in her request.
“Come on now, we won’t even let mortals tempt our fickle fingers! The path is set. Their love for one another will determine the outcome. They are special – the best ‘in love’ we’ve put together in a very long time. Don’t you be flashing that sorrowful gaze my way now. We can’t give in! We are Fate and Destiny!”
Fate patted Destiny’s hand. “Calm down, dear. I was just testing your resolve. Oh, how I love to tease my lovely Destiny…”
“You are so bad. Come, let’s be on our way. We’ll be back to check in on our special ones soon.”
As light and as quick as a breeze on gossamer wings, Fate and Destiny were off to set the course of other mortal lives in other places and other times.
* * *
John Braxton wasn’t in love – he was in anger. His entire being had settled into a dark and brooding place. If someone had asked him when his MENSA mind had begun to deteriorate into that of a crazed, vengeful man, he wouldn’t have been able to answer. He wasn’t even concerned about his million dollar clients waiting back home. “Fuck ‘em all,” he muttered. They need me way more than I need them.” He had become obsessed with the one person who turned and walked away – Tina Kennard. She didn’t need him at all – a fact that pissed him off immensely.

We are so lucky that the words are flowing…keep the posts coming. I just hope that no one we care about gets seriously injured.
Wow, so old fart Morris is a fudgepacker. I seem to remember that from a previous chapter. ‘Twould be quite amusing if he was found dead in bed with his supplier.
please don’t let anything happen to Bette,Tina her mom and ann.PPS
bringing it with a bang. keep it coming. thx
Oh arceextl, the judge and his clerk, I never imagined that one. Wondered what they had on one another, my goodness, never that scenario at all. Oh the cases that have been compromised and the lives that have been torn apart by a crooked judge. Happens everyday, if people only knew. Keep our girls and Ann and Sam safe, please. Love the story. Misses Fate and Destiny have a lot of work to do, don’t they. So pleased to see more of this story. Post when you can.
as long as fate and destiny are watching over TiBette, i’m not worried…not much anyway LOL
drama alright, great update :)PPS
Glad that you are back, but you are still scaring me. I hold my breath everytime I read one of your post. Please do not end Bette, Tina, Anne, or Sam’s life. Take anyone else but not one of those 4.
Sounds like a drama train is a comin’! Great writing!
Oh no drama coming but hope not big!
