Naive Perception of Perfect Chapter 25
Chapter 25
Alice decided to stop for coffee on her way home. She knew she wouldnt sleep anyway, so what was a little caffine. She finally made her way, dredding spending the night alone. She had gotten used to being a loner, but tonight, tonight she needed someone to hold her. She walked in her apartment, relieved to be home. See saw the light on in the living room.
Alice: Tee, I am glad you found your way. I was worried…
She rounded the corner to find Dana in front of her.
Dana: Tina isnt here.
Alice: So I see, but what are you doing here?
Dana: Im not sure really. I was heading home and I passed your apartment, I saw the lights werent on and I thought it really isnt nice to come home to a dark house. I figured Id turn the lights on for you.
Dana knew it sounded ridiculous but it made perfect sense to her.
Alice: Thanks? I think.
Dana: Youre welcome.
Alice couldnt help but stare at Dana. She looked exceptionally beautiful tonight.
Dana: So Ill go.
Alice: Right, yeah good idea.
Dana made her way to the door.
Alice: Dana when I said I needed time, I was kinda hoping for a little more then a half hour.
Dana: I know Im sorry. Im going.
Alice didnt want her to go.
Alice: Stay.
Dana: What?
Dana had never been more confused in her entire life.
Dana: But I thought you said…
Alice: Forget what I said. Stay! We dont have to sleep together, but we could just cuddle.
Dana: Yeah we could.
Dana went to Alice and wrapped her arms around her.
Alice: Dana I love you enough to let you go. If Tonya makes you happy, you should be with her. That;s all I want for you..happiness.
Dana smiled
Dana: Im glad you said that.
Alice felt her heart drop a little.
Dana: Because on the way here I called Tonya. I called it off Al.
Alice couldnt stop the tears from welling in her eyes.
Dana: I want to be with you.
Alice: I cant promise you forever Dane.
Dana: No one can make that promise. Ill take the risk. Its worth it. Youre worth it.
Alice corrected her.
Alice: Were worth it.
Dana took Alices hand and led her to the bedroom. Alice allowed Dana to back her onto the bed.
She was aching for Danas touch.
Dana: You still wanna cuddle?
