    Talking brings up old feelings

    Previously 

    “Come on T- please. Let’s end our time in LA on a high note.”

    “Ok- I guess that’s ok.”

    “Great- ok let me make a few calls and then we’ll go ok.”

    “Ok.” “Angie do you want to go stay with Auntie Kit tonight??”

    “YES!!”

    Kit came outside and told Tina to just call her and we could drop off Angie later in the afternoon.

    I made a few calls to set up our night. I just wanted the chance to show Tina how much she means to me. Also I wanted to show her how far we have come, from the first time we met to now!

    Chapter 6

    We only had one change of clothes with us, so we made due and had a great day at the beach with Angie. She really did love the water and I knew this was something she was going to miss. Of coarse they had beaches on the east coast, but it wasn’t a 15 min drive away. Tina relaxed more as the day went on. We sat on the sand and watch Angie build sand castle and Tina put her head on my shoulder. I quickly took this as a good sign and put my arm around her back,

    “Isn’t she amazing.” Tina whispered as she watched Angie with such love in her eyes.

    “She is the most amazing thing in the world.” I leaned in and kissed Tina’s forehead. I saw a small smile grace her lips and it was a beautiful sight. I felt like there was more I wanted to say about how I handled the Kelly situation, but I didn’t want to make Tina upset again.

    “Bette are you attracted to Kelly” Tina’s voice was so non-chalant.

    “What??” I was shocked

    “You heard the question so just answer it. Not how you think you should answer it, but how you really feel.”

    I stayed silent- I knew the answer, but I didn’t think Tina would believe me.

    “I really don’t”

    Tina lifted her head from my shoulder

    “So if you did find her attractive how do I know you wouldn’t have kissed her.”

    “Tina come on! I don’t want to kiss anyone else. I don’t want to touch anyone else. I only want you. Why can’t you just trust that.”

    1. Hi LovesGirlsLikeBette, Thank you allowing Tina to start to forgive Bette. I really love this unsure and unsettled aspect of Bette. She has made a huge mistake and is now ready to make up for it and show Tina exactly how she feels about her. I can’t wait for date night as I hope it recalls many of their special nights shared during their partnership. It has to be a celebration of their love and committment to each other.
