We smiled as each other and kissed softly again. It’s amazing how a place could bring back so many memories. That was my plan though. To experience our relationship all over again. My plan was working so far.

Chapter 8

We leave the gallery hand in hand. The black car I have ordered is already waiting for us outside.

“This will be our ride the rest of the evening.”

“You have been busy haven’t you.”

“I didn’t have much time, but I think I made good use of my time.”

We get in the car and it only drives a few blocks before stopping again.

“Of coarse!! Our favorite Mexican place!” Tina almost shouts

“Yes, and the place we had our first date.”

“Yes you’re right. Wow- that first date was the best first date I have ever been on!”

The car lets us out right in front and we make our way inside. Jon is there- our friend for years and he shows us to our favorite booth in the back. We both slide in and stay close to each other.

“This is perfect babe- I’m starving and we hadn’t had a chance to come here before we left.”

“Yep and now we do.”

We order our usual chips and salsa and a couple of beers.

“So I’m starting to sense a pattern for the evening.” Tina said with a smile

“Have you? Well I just wanted us to remember how we fell in love and remember all the good times here in LA before we make new memories in NYC.”

“I love this idea babe- thanks for doing all this.”

“Of coarse T- but it’s not over yet. It’s still early and I have a lot more to show you.”

“Can’t wait.”

We enjoy our favorite Mexican dishes and reminisce about our first date.

“I just remember waking up with butterflies in my stomach on the morning of our first date.” Tina said shyly. “I mean it was my first date with a woman!”

“Well I was just as nervous. I never cared before. Not to be crass, but I would usually take girls out so I could take them home. But I actually cared about you and wanted the date to be good.”
