Derek: Don’t stall.
Tiffany: I’m just making sure there aren’t any scratches on the ball.
Derek: Oh come on!
Tiffany smiled.
Tiffany: Fine.
She walked to the line at the front of the lane. Quickly, one of her legs crossed behind the other and the ball was floating on the smooth wood. Everyone stared. In an instant every pin was knocked down.
Tiffany turned back to her cousin.
Tiffany: You can just call me Captain from now on.
Derek: If you don’t mind Captain, you’re in my way and it’s my turn.
Bette stood up.
Bette: You know what, i’m going to get us a few beers.
Tiffany frowned.
Tiffany: But you’re up next.
Bette: Can you just go for me?
Bette pouted and Tiffany gave in.
Bette: I’ll be right back.
Avery shot up.
Avery: I’ll help you carry them back.
Bette nodded.
Bette: Ok.
The two made their way to the bar while Tiffany and Derek coutinued to bicker.
Avery: You’re doing well.
Bette: Please.
Avery: No really. With a little more help from Tiffany you could go pro.
Bette: My life’s ambition. Pro bowling!
Avery: She’s really cute.
Bette: Who?
Avery rolled her eyes.
Avery: Like you didn’t notice.
Bette: Oh, Tiffany?
Bette’s tone was indifferent.
Avery: Yes, Tiffany.
Bette: I guess so.
Avery: I think she’s sexy.
Bette spun around.
Bette: Really?
Avery: Yeah, and i think you should go for it.
Avery was testing the waters. How far could she push Bette to see if she was really interested in the blonde back there.
Bette: You think I should “go for it”?
Avery: Well, yeah.
Bette: Why are you so interested?
Avery had to think quick.
Avery: It’s just that you’ve been kinda down lately and maybe it would help. I mean after what happened with Tina tonight…
Bette put up her hand to stop Avery.
Bette: I don’t know how “it” could possibly help.
Avery: Someone new I mean. It just might help you to move on.
Bette: It isn’t as easy as that Avery. You don’t just move on. People need time to heal, to recover. Especially when you’re told that you treat people like garbage.
Avery: Is that what she said?
Bette hung her head.
Avery: She’s insane. You have to know that. Bette, no one has ever treated me as well as you do. I could only imgine the way you would treat me if we were in a relationship.
Avery could have killed herself for saying that.
Avery: What i meant was I could only imagine how well you would treat someone you’re dating.
The two were silent.
Bette: Maybe you’re right.
Bette couldn’t believe how blind she had been. Avery didn’t want her. She never wanted her. But the real question was, COULD she ever want her.
Avery: What?
Bette: Yeah. Maybe i should just go for it. I mean she’s certainly interested.
Avery: Um, yeah. She is.
This was back firing quickly.
Avery could feel the anger boling inside of her. She had brought this on herself.
Bette: After were done bowling maybe Tiffany and I will just head back to my place.
Avery could barely breath. She could think of nothing else but Bette and Tiffany in Bette’s bed. The very bed they had shared just the night before.
Avery: That’s a good idea.
Bette: Oh yeah?
Avery: Yeah.
Bette: Who knows, maybe a one night stand is all i really need.
Avery looked back at Tiffany and then to Bette. Was this really happening? She couldn’t back down now.
Avery: Maybe it is.
Bette: She’s leaving tomorrow right so why not?
Avery: Might as well.
Bette: You think so?
Avery: Sure.
Bette: Then i’ll do it.
Avery: Good.
Bette: Good.
Avery: I mean you could just take her home and fuck her on the couch. Or the bed or the shower or…
Bette: Are you done?
Avery: …wherever.
Bette threw her body foward and pinned Avery to the bar. Their lips met with such force that Avery could swear she was bruised.
As quickly as the kiss happened it was over. Bette couldn’t believe what she had just done.. She opened her mouth to speak but Avery was already running back toward Derek.
Bette: Oh god.
She had ruined everything.

i havent seen a fic with 20 chapters at one time……ever……..and this was amazing……i am thankful for your amazing talent of writing……please, post again as soon as you can……this is the best sooo farrr…..
I had to pause at page three and say how much I hate fucking Avery. …Okay, back to the story. BTW, Wildtouch, Portiaonly has posted chapters in excess of 20 pages many, many times. Just had to mention that ….now, back to this excellent story…

Wow when you bring back a story, you do it with a bang. This was great, hope Bette and Avery and work out the confusion. I think Tina a little off on accusing Bette of being such a horrible person, even in anger. Bette may not b e perfect, but Tina needs to get her facts straight.
Welcome back to the fold, and I hope you didn’t expect any more or any less than the rantings that will follow. But please, please, PLEASE know and trust that I am always honest in my criticisms if for no other reason than I pride myself on taste. And your writing is amazing: It’s organic and nautral and (obviously) dramatic. These characters have lives of their own, and personalities separate from their descriptions, which serendipitously (and I use the term deliberately) match the chracters from the show. I have noticed that when you receive less than favorable, aggressive, or negative intimations on this board, you stop posting. Which, I would venture explains the long (though apparently unimpressive) 20 page post. Please don’t get discouraged by whatever gets said. Remember that poeple get so fired up about this story because YOU are writing it so well. And then take that energy in stride and use it, use it to write these amazing dialogues, use it to deepen these relationships. Now, on a more specific note, I LOVE AVERY. I love the drama between Bette and Tina, the way it fuels both sides of the coin pushing the two further apart (and perhaps eventually back together?). But mostly, I love Avery. I like Tiffany too, that line about the bowling shoes is priceless. The sexual tension in this story makes my temperature rise! Which is probably why I should stop reading it at work…. anyway, if the length of your story isn’t at all a coup then the length of this fickin’ comment certainly is! I love you, and I love this story. Thats right I said it, I love you!!!!!!
wow that wal very long, but worth the wait! Since Tina is being such a bitch, I think Bette and Avery should give it a go. We just have to get rid of derek and tiffany!

i don’t think my tibette heart can take so much drama…tina is with someone else, bette wants to be with someone else, they can’t stand each other and i see no hope for tibette because they both changed so much since the beginning of this story…maybe i should just concentrate on alice and alex, at least they are the same, funny and caring

oh, forgot to mention that the writing is brilliant and i hope ashley will tell tina the truth, daphny will tell tina the truth, avery will stay away from bette, and alice and alex will find the way to bring B&T back together, though i don’t see how it’s possible
Wow…it has been a while! Thank you for the long post. It is always nice to be able to stay in a story for so long. Your characters are rich and each one is very unique. Of course we all have our own opinions. I hope you don’t mind but I am going to add mine to the pile. Love Avery, don’t trust Ashley or Daphne…I don’t care if she does love Tina, she started this relationship with deception, urging Tina to cheat, only caring about her own feelings. I guess I don’t ever root for someone who has done the things Daphne has. And, I have tried very hard throughout to like your Tina, but for the life of me, I just don’t. I feel no sympathy her, at at this moment could care less if she is ever happy or not. I know that is harsh, but I think back to everything she has done throughout these stories. Could you ever convince me that Bette and Tina belong together in this story? Maybe, but it would be pretty darn hard at this point. Thanks again for taking so much time and talent to entertain us.
THANK GOD YOUR BACK, you know I was kind of scared to read after what you’d left us with. But I’m kind of bending to the fact that Tibette in this story is just a bit too much together. I love all your characters and you write them all so lovingly. I LOVE long posts, it allows you to get into the story without having to jump around. Sure it takes a long time to read, but it’s like a fine wine to enjoy. Portiaonly knows this and is a master…you my girl are not far behind her…pls post long and soon. PS, I’m glad bette kissed Avery…About Time!!!!
Well, well, weel Flair, You certainly lived up to your name here. What a warped and wicked world you have crafted. And good golly miss Molly, it was brimming over with tension. Tina really socked it to Bette after sorting things out with Alice, Alex, Ashley and Daphne. Bette is in heat after Avery and perhaps these two do need to follw their mutual attraction to see where it leads. I still have hope for Bette and Tina as they truly belong together. I think that the dust needs to settle of their past and they have to experience other relationships to realize what they had together. The level of hurt that they are both feeling only shows how deep their love is. With the encouragement and help of Alice, Alex and now Ashley, they can rebuild their own lives, appreciate what they need to change and then demonstrate it to one another. Least we forget that Daphne set out to destory Tina and Bette’s relationship. Once Tina learns the truth, can this pairing survive? As for Avery, she is really attracted to Bette but is this just following their close quarters or a real questioning of her sexuality. I do think that she is confused but not at a place yet to decide if it is Bette or women in general that she wants. I hope that consumating this desire between Bette and Avery will help both of them sort themselves out and follow thier dreams. Wonderful writing so am now waiting of the next installment. I’m a Tibetter when the relationship works, but your Bette and Tina make for a singularly toxic match. Avery strikes me as far more than a flash in the pan. I really hope she and Bette get a chance to make a go of it. This is an engrossing, wonderfully dramatic story. I can’t wait until your next post.
hey there- thanks for the 20 pages, i loved each and every one of them. interesting that i like both Avery and Tiffany and am not pulling for Tina at all which is very unlike me. if you bring B&T back together, it will be with a very changed Tina i’d guess. thanks again and looing forward to reading more soon.

Great chapter! I have to say, Tina’s the b!tch here. How could she cheat on Bette (at least mentally) and then accuse Bette of everything? Each time, it’s Bette who did the sacrifice, what did she do? Is this the result of taking a fan as lover? Bette deserves better. Please make Tina feel VERY sorry and win Bette back in a VERY hard way in the end. :P

man i was reading your old chapters this weekend..i was missing a lot your story..you for sure is my favourite writer..your story is simple great..ok now about the chapter and by the way..great surprise see 20 pages..anyways..i really dont trust people that change to good overnight..especially Ashley..that girl is sooo bad news..i hope Tina find out what she and Daphne did..even when Tina dont deserve Bette..but the truth must come..i dont like Avery too..i think Bette could try with Tiffany..and make Tina suffer and suffer..so she realize how terrible person she is..ok..when is the next chapter???? thanks :-)
Big long chapters tend to scare me so I sort of skipped around and also looked over the comments. Bette was a major jackass to Jimmy. I didn’t read anything about Ashley but it doesn’t matter because I still want to rip out her ovaries and shove them up her ass. I may come back to this another time.

Although I am a Tibetter, I am so addicted into this story. No matter where the storyline is going, I will read it and love it. And, Flair, PLEASE PLEASE keep it on. Now, I need a rest cause I spent 40 mins reading it and couldn’t stop. I am a slow-reader, I know :)
